I have never seen or used a check-in machine before, and I found it to be very ineffective. It took forever to get checked in. There was someone at the front desk, so I don’t understand why we had to use the machine. I also had trouble understanding the staff member, despite the subtitles that were supposed to help. Overall, the machine felt completely pointless.
Additionally, I found it strange that I had to show my credit card up close to the camera while they typed the information into their computer. There was a card reader available for use, so I’m not sure why that wasn’t an option. The place wasn’t even busy, which made the use of an online check-in machine seem unnecessary.
Lastly, the condition of the room was disappointing. It was very dirty, especially the bathroom!
