Incredible staff and service. Food was excellent and always a seat open at the restaurant. Only concern is the neighborhood surrounding is less family friendly and more of a club and bar scene, but the hotel itself is the best option in Bucaramanga for travelers with pets

This is a very nice hotel with an excellent spa and restaurant. The beds were hard, but some people prefer them hard. The location is very convenient and the pricing is excellent. Loved the restaurant. Breakfast is pretty much the same every day, but hey, it's included. No complaints.

Great hotel at an affordable price. We stayed for 4 nights and have to say I am quite impressed with the quality of the service, always delivered with a smile. Room as clean and relatively spacious, the food at the restaurant by the pool is of the highest quality offering local dishes and outstanding service. I also tried the SPA, and they were able to accommodate a massage on short notice. Certainly when traveling to Bucaramanga in the future I will stay here again.

A superb hotel staff with excellent service. Rooms are more of a European style, basic. If one thing needs updating it would be the matresses. The mattresses in our room, were a bit hard and you could feel the springs. Restaurant menu was great and quality of food generous. Will stay again

Our room was not cleaned, and the towels were not replaced. In addition, the safety box was not working, the hair dryer was broken, and there were no shower caps or facial tissues provided. Furthermore, the restaurant staff was not friendly at all on Saturday breakfast. Overall, the hotel’s standards of cleanliness, maintenance, and amenities are very poor and far below what we expected. It was a very disappointing experience, I will never stay in the Chicamocha Hotel never again.

The property was very clean. However just realize that it’s a very outdated hotel. If no better hotels are available, you’re probably better off just renting an airbnb to be honest. Staff were kind but the hotel had some strange regulations and customs. They charge you to have friends come to your room for a brief visit, for example. Felt like I was being watched. Power was out one night for many hours, no backup generator, room became unbearably hot. Overall just kind of a strange experience.

I stayed here a few years ago and it was decent. Now, however, the hotel is visibly in need of repair, the staff is poorly trained and many of them are not competent in their jobs. To things worse, the owners have embarked on cost cutting initiatives that were poorly thought out and horribly implemented. They have removed the telephones from the rooms and replaced them with QR codes that connect the guest to a whatsapp number for either Guest services, housekeeping or room service. The main issue with this is that no one actually answers the whatsapp lines. If you call no ome answers and you are left to hope that someone calls you back. This is no way to run a hotel. I had to ask 6 times and wait 6 hours to receive new towels. I origiablly asked the cleaning lady for them. She told me she would bring them in a few minutes but never did. I went looking for her an hour later and she said she didnt have a chance to get them. She then told me she would bring them to me in 20 minutes. 2 hours later still no towels. Then I went downstairs to the reception desk, remember there is no phone in the room to call. The receptionist called to request the towels. I waited an hour but no one came. I had to repeat that trip downstairs 3 times before finally getting 2 towels. I would never stay in this hotel again, and would not recommend it to anyone.
