Decent-sized double room with balcony and city view. Quiet. Extensive continetal breakfast, limited cooked. Views from 8th floor restaurant and three sides of pool and jacuzzi is hotels greatest asset, with additional seating on 9th and 19th decks. Only a few minutes safe walk from L2 /L3 tram line.

Room was dated but spotless. Staff were all lovely and reception very helpful. Organised private transfer; champagne in the room and late check out. A beautiful flat walk into town. Seagull did pinch my bruchette off the plate so best eat indoors!

Great hotel in a great location. So close to everything that you could need. The rooftop bar was lovely and great views across the city. Pool was nice - but didn’t go in. Room was great, very clean has an issue with jacuzzi in the room and it was resolved within moments. The only thing would be that for the whole 4 days we were there, there was only one lift working and when you are on a high floor walking up was not an option!! ALL the staff were super friendly, and were on hand to help with anything. Bag storage was so convenient on the day we arrived and departed. Didn’t use the spa this time, as didnt have the time - but looked lovely. Would highly recommend this hotel!!

Great little hotel with rooftop bar and pool ,great views. Would choose a more expensive room though as standard rooms on lower level a bit tired looking.

Hello dear staff at Splendid Hotel 😊 I will start with saying something positive . The location and the beautiful roof terrace with a very sweet and helpful staff and service was really really beautiful and nice. Our room would need a big renovation , and I had to take off my pillow case to show that I wanted a clean one , but after that the cleaning staff improved 👍👏 I do not think we will come back . And I had really hoped for a little smile at the front desk this morning before we left. Best Regards from 🇳🇴🌺🌺🇳🇴

👍Staff were friendly, location was excellent, short walk to Promenade des Anglais & to tram station from Airport. Lots of shops, restaurants etc nearby. Clean room & bathroom. Tea & coffee facilities and good fridge. Comfortable bed and nice balcony with table & two chairs. Well-equipped fitness room. Highlight for us was the lovely rooftop pool area with 3 levels of seating/loungers. Very relaxing. 👎 The corridors and rooms are a bit shabby in places and need refurbishment. The drinks by the pool and the breakfast (19€ each) were expensive compared with neighbourhood cafes. We bought breakfast items from Carrefour City just down Rue Meyerbeer & the most delicious fresh bread & croissants from a bakers on Rue France.

We arrived at the Hotel and entered the Foyer which had a faint smell of an "off drain". We were a little early, so we lwft our bags and went for lunch and came back 2 hours later. The Hotel did let us in 1 hour earlier, which we appreciated. Our room was good, however overnight the bad drain smell had crept in, and was not pleasant. Asked house keeping to see what they could do. After being out all day, we returned and the drain had disinfectant and bleach poured down the drain. Within 2 days it was back. After coming home from dinner we entered the foyer and there was an overwhelming smell of the drain, and people making comment, expressing that its bad. The pool area has a good view and a number of chairs for drinking and eating, however only 8 sunlounges. The overcrowded pool area meant people had to sit on the floor/ decking to get space. I underdtand thst another hotel near by has an arrangement to let their guests use the pool at Splendid. It cannot cope with the volume. Overall our stay would rate a 3, just but we wouldnt stay here next time.

The staff was so kind and thoughtful. They even left us some extra drinks in our room. The hotel is centeally located and is an easy walk to the beach and many restaurants. The rooftop restaurant is so convenient and the views are gorgeous. The property and the rooms are on the older side so be prepared for that but everything was clean. The only real downside was that there are only 2 elevators and they take a long time to get from the rooftop to the lobby so just be prepared for that. Other than that, everything else was wonderful!
