Good stay.

Although the hotel is a little tired, that was ok. However, the bed was rock hard as were the pillows so a bad night’s sleep.

4/10 Poor

The hotel is okay and located just 5 minutes walk from Canary Wharf station. It has a restaurant, bar, coffee vending machine, and 24/7 reception. My room had a bathtub, kettle, table, and small twin beds—suitable for one person. That said, the service was a major letdown. As a non-white guest, I was treated noticeably worse than others. Staff (mostly Indian) were dismissive and often spoke in their language while laughing and glancing at guests, which felt unprofessional and uncomfortable. I booked a “no window cozy room” for $130 USD/night and was placed in a hot basement room. I later learned from a white guest that he paid just over $100/night and got a room with a window and river view on an upper floor. When I asked to upgrade, I was told it would cost £30/night additional. The basement rooms thermostat are controlled by staff, and my room hit 30.5°C one night. I reported it and was given a fan. When I complained again, a staff member brushed it off and said, “That’s how it’s supposed to be.” There’s a clear lack of fairness in room allocation and guest treatment. If you’re just staying a night and don’t mind discomfort, it’s manageable—but I wouldn’t return.

Stora nackdelen var sängen. Mycket! tunn bäddmadrass så fjädrarna i sängbotten var alldeles för påtagliga och påverkade sömnen negativt.
