I have stayed at some of the best hotels in the world, and I must say I was happily blown away by this Hyatt in Kyoto. Although it has the corporate name, it feels like it's own independent boutique hotel, definitely the most unique Hyatt. The staff are wonderful - friendly, eager to help book reservations, helpful and warm. The location is walking distance to nearby shrines and about 15 minutes from the maze streets of Gion. The rooms are quiet, clean and well designed, with a wonderful shower...
