The view of the Santa Marta Bay is nothing but amazing. The staff is very friendly. I'll be back!

Very friendly, very helpful. When our driver couldn't make it to the Casa to take us to Santa Marta airport for our flight to Bogota, Marisela took us both in our car and drove the hour and 15 minutes to drop us off at the airport.
Even though we don't speak much Spanish at all, her entire staff took the effort to communicate with us in English throughout our stay.
The location is fantastic and you have the choice of tenting on the beach to common dorm type accomodation to a couple of rooms...

Hotel is an oasis! Beautiful, boutique hotel. We struggled a little to communicate with the staff, but they were all incredibly friendly and the service was wonderful. The bathroom in the standard room is not separate, so you can see into the shower from the bed, regardless, comfortable, well-kept room.

A very comfortable room (we stayed in one with two queen beds) with a great air conditioner. The location is excellent -- very close to Parque de los Novios, but is on a quieter street that does not have the traffic and noise closer to the park. The room's large-screen TV offers a great selection of cable channels. We were also impressed with the breakfast -- a traditional Colombian meal of eggs, arepa, toast, and natural juice. You should really enjoy your Santa Marta experience if you stay...

Excelent spot in downtown Santa Marta. Restaurants are close by, theres an "EXITO" store; (mini walmart) 2 blocks away if you want to get supplies for your stay. Overall, the hotel was perfect for our stay!

I am so glad I chose this hotel; it was the perfect home base for my trip. I spent half my time exploring the north and the other half in the city center, and this location made navigating both areas seamless. The front desk team was incredible, taking all the stress out of my logistics by coordinating my transportation perfectly. Beyond the convenience, the hotel itself is beautiful. My room was spacious and very comfortable, and the food at the on-site restaurant—both for breakfast and...

Mundo Nuevo is a very special magical place, which is why I went back for the second time and plan to be back again one day.
The view and energy of the place is incredible. I feel at peace being here. All the staff is very friendly and Yessica is very nice and helpful.
The food is AMAZING, very good quality vegetarian food. So if you're a meat lover, you may want to bring your own meat and request them to cook it for you (which one of the guys at the hostel did do that, and they cooked it...

I truly enjoyed my stay at Alko Cotona. The bed was suuuuper comfortable, the room immaculately clean, location is perfect (right by main drag for eating and drinking as well as only a few minutes from the beach!) — rooftop pool and restaurant/bar also great, with a view of the ocean/marina on one side and the mountains on the other.
Most importantly, the quality of service and hospitality at Alko Cotona hotel is truly outstanding. Every staff member I encountered went out of their way to make...

We used the tour service located in the lobby. We were told it included transportation to boat and then back to hotel. We we're abondoned when boat returned and had to find transportation back to hotel on our own. Don't use tour service!!
