Stayed at the Zen resort. Great welcoming environment. Relaxing. pampered. Spa too expensive for what they offer, though. We stayed 9 days and had a fantastic time. The property and wildlife is outstanding. What a nice balance of jungle like lagoon and ocean! Take the free boat trip through the lagoon and get the Mayan clay purification service at the spa. This resort takes great pride in being ecologically friendly and we appreciated that. My recent stay at this hotel in Cancun was an absolute delight. It’s the epitome of luxury, and the location is ideal. What truly stood out, though, was the incredible food. The dining experience was nothing short of amazing. A big plus is that in Cancún, where all-inclusive is common, this hotel offers a great option for those who want the flexibility to explore the area and not be tied to an all-inclusive plan. I highly recommend this hotel for a five-star getaway

Habanero was closed, so that was a bit disappointing. But Jorge, who manages the fresh margarita stand, always greeted us with a smile and made the best kiwi margarita! Definitely would comeback for him:)

Everything about the property was wonderful. The staff, leadership, and employees COULD NOT have been nicer and more helpful. Food was the best I've had at an all-inclusive. The only thing about it that wasn't perfect was the bar drinks - the mixes tasted cheap and the drinks were not strong. That being said, the service MORE than made up for a very minor issue. If the drinks matched the rest - this place would be HEAVEN!

Beautiful property, quiet, good service, decent food, well made drinks unlike many other resorts that use nasty tasting ingredients. Also not the place for the college crowd, thankfully.

Here is my review of this property. We loved our trip, and we loved the property overall. Just offering some unbiased feedback about what to expect. 1. The property is very well-kept. Had an excellent 5-night stay at the stunning Hyatt Vivid Grand Island. Located just a short 15-minute ride from the Cancun Airport, and nestled on a beautiful lagoon- it was the perfect location. As opposed to one of the larger resort’s maze of paths and pools and restaurants (and people,) the Sun Palace has a more intimate boutique hotel feel. It’s been recently renovated, and it shows. We upgraded to a honeymoon suite (room 530) at check in (tip: wait until check in to upgrade for an opportunity to negotiate the price. Can’t put into words how amazing the staff were! Awesome place to relax and enjoy some personal time. Definitely would recommend it to any of my friends.

The property is absolutely gorgeous. One of the guests was kidnapped by 6 guys who pulled him into a van and shoved a gun down his throat until he transferred $1,000 via a cash app. This was a 10 minute walk from the property, so stay safe and don't go off the grounds.
