I had booked a hostel and could no longer take sharing a room. Hostel single rooms are the same as a nice room in a hotel. Hotel Diana was a breath of fresh air. Check in was easy, friendly staff, we were upgraded to a room on 20th floor, with the best view of the Brisbane River. Room was on a small size to unpack or move around, bed was comfortable.
