Laxenburg castles are imperial palaces and castles outside Vienna, in the town of Laxenburg, Lower Austria. The castles became a Habsburg possession in 1333 and formerly served as a summer retreat, along with Schönbrunn palace, for the imperial Habsburg dynasty. Blauer Hof Palace was the birthplace of some members of the royal family, including Crown Prince Rudolf. Another castle nearby is named Franzensburg castle.

"Great Location as you are opposite the Main train station in Vienna, 15 minutes by train from Airport or 20 minutes by cab, the rooms were clean and modern breakfast 18 euros per person, so we decided to have breakfast in the station area. Would highly recommend staying here as it was good value compared to other hotels. If you wanted to do the sightseeing buses they were outside the station opposite hotel. The underground was nearby as well as trams."
