This is fantastic hotel. We had a double room with shared bathroom and view of the mountain and Inca ruins of Ollantaytambo. The owner is very helpful with directions and arranging rides. The breakfast is abundant and healthy. Some info for travelers which I discovered while being there: Ollantaytambo is the coziest village I have visited. There are plenty or restaurants downtown, and many Inca ruins to visit within a small radius. It is also the start of a 3-5 day Inca trail to Machu Picchu....

This intimate hotel was just the ticket for this town. Beautifully manicured courtyard, free parking and rooms made for families. As of October 2024, the bridge through the center of town is out, but it looks like it will be restored soon. We received excellent customer service from the staff, especially Alex. They took a genuine interest in ensuring our time in the Inka sacred valley was pleasant and that we got the most out of our brief time there.

Our stay here was a last-minute decision because of a flight delay, and we couldn't have been more pleased. The hotel was a nice welcoming space. It is convenient to the train station for those who are going to Machu Picchu. The train does run near the hotel, so you will hear it three or more times over night so if you’re a light sleeper you may want to note this. This was the second place we stayed in Aguas Caliente and the town a very active town so you can expect some noise no matter where you stay.

This hotel may be the farthest from the Plaza and ruins, but you can walk through the entire Ollantaytambo main city in less than 10 minutes. This hotel is picturesque. Stayed one night. We booked the room with one full bed and two twin beds. Large bathroom. Breakfast starts at 5 am, but our train to Machu Picchu was at 5 am. They packed each of us a bag of food and met us at 4:45 am to provide us this free snack for our trip. They stored our suitcases for the 2 full days that we were in...

I had a wonderful stay at the Picaflor Tambo. The hotel is beautiful -- with a relaxed, peaceful ambiance -- and the owner and her son could not have been friendlier or more accommodating. The rooms were fresh and clean, and breakfast was generous and delicious. The owners are also happy to advise on how to make the most of your time in Ollataytambo. The location couldn't be better, directly across from the entrance to the granary ruins hike. If I return, I will definitely stay here again!...

The river is kind of loud, but great windows so it seemed more like a "white noise" in the background which was quite nice actually.
