"Grate location, helpful & friendly staff, rooms are nice and spacious, the wildlife around is super cool to see, the pool area is grate too; the only downside (but same everywhere during the dry season on railay due to low water levels) the tap/shower water was salty not really a big deal but the staff did offer bottled water to rise off with after the shower which was thoughtful like I said the staff are very helpful and will always offer help where they can overall I would stay here again "

Very unique location and rustic. I liked it’s a small resort for mostly adults, so it was quiet and relaxing. We were in the family unit which did feel like camping with lockers for closets and the bigger cement wall bathroom with fans. Grateful for air conditioning in the bedroom unit. The master bedroom mattress was quite hard, not very comfortable. But the view from the front and back windows were amazing.

My wife and me stayed there for 4 nights and we didn't want to leave. The hotel is beautiful, located in a quiet place and our biggest problem was deciding whether to go to the beach or to one of the 2 swimming pools.
This is a beautiful site that feels natural and authentic. We had a private room and bathroom with air-conditioning. The rooftop balcony had great views. The food was some of the best we ate in Krabi and Bangkok. I'm so glad for this experience of Thailand vs a typical resort that could be on any beach. There were steps and an uphill climb to the room, so it could be challenging for some.
Hotel is on East Railay, but it is only a short walk to West Railay and Phanang Beach. It is waterfront on East Railay. The facilities are wonderful--infinity pool, dining, rooms. This was a very nice and private resort. There were party areas of the island within walking distance, but this resort is close to that yet also far enough away that it is quiet. Our rooms were clean and we had a couple lizards visit us in the bathroom...they were more scared of us than us of them. A fresh warm breakfast is served daily, which is convenient as well.
The property was very pretty. It offers a tranquil atmosphere and great service. Food was top notch. The breakfast was one of the best I have seen at a resort. We went on the private boat tour and it was a highlight of our trip. I have stayed at Las Ventanas in Cabo and the Rosewood in Mayakoba and can say that I prefer the Banyan tree. The Ban Sainai was like staying on a tropical island. It is very spread out, but the staff were always ready to drive you from your room to the pool or reception area. The breakfasts were very good as were the meals at the pool. The pool was absolutely gorgeous and we spent plenty of time there. The resort has a regular shuttle schedule to take you to the beach. This was an awesome experience to stay at the Ban Sainai.
The experience at this hotel was unbelievable. The facilities are beautiful and well maintained. We had a beach pool villa and I can't even express how beautiful it was. When we arrived the tub in the restroom was prepared with flower petals floating in the water. The views from this hotel were gorgeous! and it was so nice to have the beach just for the hotels is the area. Not crowded at all.
