Travel to NY often. The Arlo always is a great stay. Clean, smells amazing, good vibes, friendly/stylish staff, great decor, reasonably priced. Just do it. Stay here. Perfect for solo travel.

The only problem I had was the staff complained when I brought Dunkin Donuts coffee from across the street into the lobby. I’m sorry but when I’m spending $4,000 for a trip I feel like I can get my coffee from anywhere I please They kept saying no outside food or drink

Got a free upgrade to a suite... was a lovely room with a very comfortable bed! Plenty of dining options within walking distance. Quiet hotel, great experience with the shuttle drivers to and from the airport. Will definitely stay here again when we have flights from Laguardia!

I was VERY IMPRESSED with this hotel. What stood out is how clean the property is, and the friendly and helpful staff. You can tell the place is very well maintained….there was always someone tidying up the lobby and the patio. I should mention that the hallways and elevators were also clean. My room was spacious, comfy, clean and quiet. The neighborhood is quiet, clean, and convenient to the train station ( 1 1/2 block away). I was traveling alone so safety was very important to me. Great stay. Can’t complain about the hotel or service . Good location too. A little surprised that no complimentary water for this type of hotel …. Not even for Bonvoy members

The room was a standard modern room with the basic necessities. The location of the hotel was very convenient as it was near the subway. The hotel also had a rooftop bar that they told us about upon arrival but we did not get to utilize as we already had our own plans. I would definitely come back to this hotel.There was also a corner store near by that had delicious breakfast/ lunch sandwiches. The menu was pretty extensive. They also made fresh fruit smoothies which were very good!

Stayed at the John Hotel because I was going to 3 NY Mets baseball games and it was an easy 20 minute walk to the Stadium. The hotel was relatively new and it was clean and neat and they offered a free continent breakfast. The staff was friendly and answered whatever questions you asked them.

Great! 15 minute walk to the train. Quiet neighborhood (for NYC). Lots of yummy, convenient food options along the way. Traveling with my teen and we both felt comfortable. I’m an ex-New Yorker and lived in Queens, so I’m familiar with the city. I would book here again.

Excellent staff and facilities. If you don’t mind walking a few blocks to the nearest subway station and if you also don’t mind the freight trains at night, this is a nice hotel to stay in New York City. Very accessible to the Long Island City Riverside parks. Good value overall.

The hotel was convenient, quiet and close to JFK.

It’s very close to JFK and reserving the shuttle was easy. Staff were helpful and kind. Next time we have a morning flight out of JFK we’d stay there again. It was exactly what we needed before our flight.
