"Booked this for a few cheap nights in NYC. Wasn’t expecting much based on the price and area. But was very surprised. Room was excellent and pretty big for a cheap New York room. Comfortable bed. Everything was clean. Staff were great. Location was a couple of blocks from the closest subway. I felt safe all the time coming in and out at night. There are a number of other hotels adjacent. Would stay there again. "

"This is a good value for a budget hotel in Queens. The room was basic and clean. Towels and sheets are thin and dingy but clean. Great hot water. Building itself is quiet, although lots of traffic and sirens outside. Immediate neighborhood is nothing special but subway and restaurants a 10 minute walk. The deposit thing is sketchy - you put down a $100 deposit, although weirdly it never actually showed up on my credit card receipt. I wouldn’t stay here for a long time but if you just need a...

"Clean hotel, friendly staff. Basic amenities (no kettle). Queens is a bit of a dive, however, I didn’t have any problems walking to and from the subway. "

"The Villa is a great rate for an NYC hotel so close to Manhattan. The property is newly renovated with very nice rooms. Very friendly staff. Hotel is an easy 10 minute walk from the 21 st/ Queensboro Bridge subway stop. 4 stops to Midtown. Neighborhood is a great mixture of local shops, hotels and housing projects and we always felt safe!"
