"Unfortunately during my stay, the bar was being remodeled. Though it was still open there was a curtain covering most of the room. I was seated at a table basically in the hallway - this did not work for me. I'm sure all will be great when the project is finished."
"Red flag when we entered and the lobby revolving door had wood blocks bolting it to the floor so it was inoperable. Then dirty carpets in the elevator lobby and inside the elevator.
Went up to our room and called about air conditioning not working. Were told the AC for the building was broken and wouldn't be fixed until tomorrow. It was 28 Celsius in our room. They offered and brought up two fans. One was not put together. Needed to open and attached the fan blades.
Two rolls of toilet paper. One was used, half gone. The other roll was in wet packaging.
Wanted to take a cold bath. The bath plug doesn't work and it would not hold water.
We asked about the pool to cool off and were told it was closed for renovations.
There was something on the mirror in the elevator all night. Maybe blood or a splattered tomato.
Was all we could do to take a cold shower, and sleep without blankets with fans blowing on us all night.
Left very early in the morning and will not be back

"I don't think 3 stars is appropriate for the hotel. The photos of the lobby are misleading. It is far more run down than it holds itself out to be. The hotel property hasn't been maintained well. There is a terrible smell in the hallways and stains on the carpet, which is tile but they still didn't bother changing it. I would never come back."
"My wife and I spent four nights here. Everything was great. Location was close to everything. Parking was handy. The only thing I wish was the fairly expensive breakfast buffet as we don't usually eat a big breakfast. A coffee and crossent would suit us. Otherwise I would recommend this hotel. "
"This is probably my 6th or 7th time staying at this hotel and honestly, it seems to get worse with each visit. The incredible staff and convenient location are the main reasons I keep coming back, despite the dated rooms and noticeable stains. Noise is also a constant issue. the doors do little to block sound, and if your room faces Mount Royal the constant traffic noise hard to ignore.
Thankfully, this stay didn’t include the endless faucet dripping or wet spots on the floor that I dealt with two weeks ago. After that visit, I was contacted by someone I assume was the manager, Mathieu Dugardin, but after I responded, I never heard back.
Overall, the hotel is okay. The positives and negatives more or less balance out, especially if the price is low enough.
