"Approaching the hotel, I was confronted by an odd marriage of old and new. The old brick bastion stood in squat contrast to the glass and steel tower of the new hotel. Could this odd marriage work? We were guided inside by two valets. They were our introduction to a staff who delivered consistently warm and excellent service in all aspects of our stay. The challenge for the hotel is to maintain the level of excellent service. I don't see how that could improve. We had dinner at the Cantata. The menu offered a wonderful variety of choices. I went with the Pad Thai. An excellent dish that was served by a just wonderful waitress who was warm, helpful and a positive multiplier for our dinner. We stayed in a corner room with a king bed. The window offered a nice view of downtown London. The room was very clean and practically appointed. We enjoyed a good night's rest. We enjoyed breakfast in the hotel grill. While a fine looking breakfast buffet was offered, I was delighted to see overnight oats on the menu. I'm glad that I went with that. Of course, our wait staff member delivered the same excellent and warm service. I enjoyed a swim in the hotel pool after breakfast. The locker room was clean and practically appointed. I didn't have the time to use the sauna in the Men's locker room. That solely populated my list of regrets about our visit. We were asked when we would return. Our return stay at the Armories is assured."

"Room & washroom were spacious- big plus. Bed’s & bedding very comfortable. Did not use the pool etc Was a very short stay. They have special rates for people getting treatment at Victoria Hospital. Could not avail of that as booked thru Expedia."
