Magical place!, superb service, the food is incredible!l, we make so many friends and the rooms are wonderful.

This is a really beautiful property, and specific to those seeking remoteness. The village is effectively uninhabited, and at the same time offers a dramatic view of the surrounding mountains. A bottle of wine is offered for sale, but if you’re planning to eat in the evening, plan on driving 10-15 minutes to the closest restaurants. Of note, the breakfast was very complete and delicious!

This was a wonderful place that I would go back to every time I come to Sulmona. Roberto and Giuseppe were exceptionally helpful. The breakfast was fabulous and the location couldn’t be better. If I could give this place six stars I would!

The property is well located if you are coming from a late-night drive from Rome. The rooms and the amenities were wonderful.

The breakfast buffet was varied and beyond the usual 4 item continental type. Eggs and bacon in a warming dish, cereal, yogurt and fresh fruit. There were toastable ham and cheese sandwiches and hot and room temperature pastries and cakes. And of course a coffee bar with a gifted barista.

The room was very modern and industrial looking. The amenities were great. Awesome 12” rain shower head, comfortable bed, little private patio to have our breakfast at. The room was super quiet. The doors and walls had some sound proofing on them. Parking was very close by. Easy to walk to park, get a meal or a drink.

Hotel Don Luis closed for the season 30 September. We were moved to a sister property, Hotel Sport Village, for our reservation 1 and 2 October. Sport Village is in the outskirts of Castel di Sangro, just a short distance from Hotel Don Luis. The hotel is modern, with a pool, spa and nice grounds. This was a surprise. I just needed a late night check-in coming in from the airport. Easy to find. Greeted upon arrival. Comfortable but firm bed. Nice bathroom. Good WiFi. Way above average breakfast with nice touches: freshly squeezed juice, fresh assorted fruit. Wonderful staff and it was quiet - however, when people were up and about I could hear everything but there were no disturbances during the night and I am the lightest sleeper on the planet. Location, service and breakfast are awesome, especially the two guys at breakfast who make individual coffees. Rooms are a bit dated ( think college dorms) but very clean. Front desk people are friendly and helpful.

Not far from downtown or the beach. Very reasonably priced with tremendous owners who really went out of their way to make it a pleasant stay.

Clean rooms. The staff speaks Eenglish very well and they were welcoming. I have stayed at this hotel many times. It is located in an area that's near the train and bus station. The beach is also close as well as many, many dining choices.

It was an excellent hotel. Clean,friendly, and the food was excellent. Service was excellent. It came with buffet breakfast collezione. They offered Pensione for lunch and dinner which is choice in meals for a set price which included wine. It was 20 euro a person. We would return there again. We highly recommend Hotel Sporting!

Comfortable place and front desk staff was friendly and helpful. Very good breakfast and again, friendly helpful staff. Beach was close and had a nice walking/biking path. Looks like a good summer location.
