Abashiri District Hotels

We had a wonderful 3-nights stay at Lamp No Yado Moritsubetsu. We were two couples and took two Japanese-style rooms, both of which were spacious, spotless, and very comfortable. The staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating, making us feel very welcome from the start. The setting is beautiful—peaceful, quiet, and surrounded by lush greenery. The studio was compact, clean, and quiet, with very comfortable beds. Check-in and check-out were straightforward and hassle-free. We especially appreciated the thoughtful attention to detail and the considerate touches provided by the host.

This hotel is located across the street from the train station. Breakfast was available early, to accommodate the train schedule. Breakfast was fabulous!

One of the most beautiful onsens I have ever been to. As soon as you walk in, there is a sense of calm and quiet elegance. The property is beautifully designed to maximize the view of the lake. Our room consisted of three large sections which can be divided with private screens. The service was outstanding too. Each breakfast and dinner, we dinned in a private room. Overall, nice and central place in Kitami to stay. Bed was comfortable, several parking lots make it easy to park. We did have some late night partiers the first night, but I was too tired to be bothered and it wasn't reflective of the hotel. I hadn't stayed in a Dormy Inn, but I would stay in this one or another again. Didn't try the onsen, but it looked like a nice small onsen was available.

I have stayed at various Dormy Inns and this one is one of the best in terms of a hot bath and breakfast buffet.
