We had a wonderful 3-nights stay at Lamp No Yado Moritsubetsu. We were two couples and took two Japanese-style rooms, both of which were spacious, spotless, and very comfortable. The staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating, making us feel very welcome from the start. The setting is beautiful—peaceful, quiet, and surrounded by lush greenery. The rooftop mixed onsen was a big surprise, but super nice as we don't usually get to be with family members of other sex. (You do provide basic swimwear). It was so nice to look over the lake and just chill out in the onsen upstairs, but the main onsen were also incredible. Food options were plenty in the restaurant (buffet style), and it's so close to the Ainu Kotan... definitely worth a visit!!

Overall, nice and central place in Kitami to stay. Bed was comfortable, several parking lots make it easy to park. We did have some late night partiers the first night, but I was too tired to be bothered and it wasn't reflective of the hotel. I hadn't stayed in a Dormy Inn, but I would stay in this one or another again. Didn't try the onsen, but it looked like a nice small onsen was available.
