"Very clean. Although a very pet friendly (slightly older) hotel… didn’t see any evidence of it in my room. And hallways and public areas were very clean. Impressive that the housekeeper still enters each day.
Hats off to director of housekeeping Lakeshia B. and the cleaning staff. Spoke with other random guests (in the elevator) who said they frequent this very hotel for that reason.
My first visit, but I’ll return based on cleanliness alone!
Breakfast each day was also tasty and hot....
"This hotel is located in a great location for shopping near the outlets and getting to Rehoboth Beach. The staff was very friendly during our visit, parking was plentiful, the breakfast was good and the rooms were very clean. Plus, the hotel looks like it has been renovated in recent years. However, we visited in early June, so the hotel wasn't fully occupied and traffic on the roads to the outlets and to and around the beach was manageable."
"This hotel is spacious and clean, offering a hot buffet breakfast for free and an indoor, heated salt pool. The parking is ample and you can walk to the pizza shop or sandwich deli. Because it is on the east side of route 1, you can access Lewes, the ferry, or Cape Henlopen state park without getting into traffic on route 1. Midweek prices are very fair, especially off-season. The staff is friendly and welcoming."
"If you hate beach sand under your toes this is not the place for you. Great location between Lewes and Rehoboth but not in heart of either. Decent breakfast buffet, room kept clean, lots of fresh towels. Quiet"
"Very clean, basic hotel with bare bones amenities. Friendly staff. It was great for us because we had a dog with us. Right on a bike trail and next to a big outlet mall. Perfect for our needs."
"Lobby was clean , staff was very nice and helpful with directions to ferry and beach
Breakfast was nice lots of choices and very clean area . Outside area by bar was nice to hang at night , nice chairs and couches to hang on . Great location to all restaurants and beach and ferry"
"This hotel is a hidden gem. We could not believe how nice and clean it was for the price. Feels like a luxury boutique hotel for the cost of a chain. The amenities were wonderful. We spent the whole day swimming. The room was so spacious, clean, and comfortable. We will definitely be returning! Plus the location is central to Rehoboth, Dewey, and Lewes. Literally can’t say enough good things about our stay!"
"Took my mom away for a weekend and stumbled across this beauty to stay at! Such a clean, quiet, peaceful weekend. We loved Mar Bella and will be returning for sure! Definitely recommend!!"
"The Hotel Blue staff are super friendly and helpful. Shout out to Chris, Ann and Denny who were all terrific. The rooms are beautiful and well appointed with robes, lovely toiletries, refrigerator and coffee maker. It’s a quick 5 minute walk to downtown shopping and restaurants. Lewes is awesome too!"
"Prime location. Complimentary beach chairs. Comfy beds. Delicious, free breakfast. Friendly staff. Boutique-y, super cute and clean. What more could you want?"
"Everything was great! Staff was great, easy access to the beach, balcony was great too. First time in Rehoboth and it was nice to be able to let the teenagers enjoy the Boardwalk on their owns and not have to worry."
"Staff was really friendly, everything was sparkling clean, and the location, along with the fee parking, made this the perfect place for a short trip to Rehoboth."

This is an amazing find tucked into the quaint harbor area of Lewes. The hotel is well-appointed and welcoming and the room was spotless, huge, and beautifully decorated. The little touches really made the stay, from the koi pond on the patio outside to the taffy on the pillows instead of mints. The pool was small but refreshing. The staff were friendly and seemed happy to help resolve any issues. Well worth it!
Nice hotel 2.5 miles to rehoboth beach. Free Breakfast is always a plus for our family with little children.
Parking at rehoboth beach was $15 for the day. Beach umbrellas $16/each and chairs $8. Rental office closes 5p m so make sure to get there early if you wasn’t get your money’s worth.
Nice, clean hotel, renovated. Smells fresh! About 15 minutes to the beach. Comfortable bed, was able to get good rest. Nice hot breakfast. Will be back again!
We loved Gold Leaf hotel - especially their excellent customer service! Very nice facilities, close to the beach, comfy and clean, they were able to accommodate our late check out and were just all around great people
We had a great stay! Staff in hotel and the cafe were the best!!!! Rooms were clean and comfortable. Very convenient to beach, shopping and restaurants.
I feel like we really lucked out with this stay. Planned only 2 weeks prior, we booked accommodations last minute and took a chance on Avondale. It was perfect! Right on Beach Ave. in Cape May, we had view of the ocean from our balcony area. Upon booking, I received a call within 30 minutes from Avondale to confirm our stay and to ask us if we were OK with with walking up the stairs to 2nd or 3rd floor as there is no elevator. Not a problem for us and the 2nd floor facing the beach was perfect....
Offering consistently great room comfort, great bedding, awesome plush mattress and pillows, I stayed in the suite - the rooms are very spacious and the suite offers two large televisions, a fridge and microwave, sofa and floor lamp as well as a large coffee table ottoman and extra chest of drawers and table and chairs - 2 rooms plus extra large closet with private shower/toilet room. All decorated very modern in neutral colors. The breakfast offers eggs hard boiled with some pastry foods,...
I've always thought it is important to recognize kindness when it has been extended - especially in today's crazy busy world. And so I share with you our wonderful experience this past weekend at Angel of the Sea!
My husband was away for his once yearly guys ski trip to Vail and so I thought it might be nice to sneak away to the one place that is so close to my heart...Cape May... my second home.
I booked at Angel of the Sea...a B&B that I have wanted to stay at over the years...but the...
The Star is operated by the same group that owns and operates Congress Hall (which is right across the street). The Star is tastefully renovated and immaculate. The proximity to the ocean, washington street mall, eateries, entertainment and downtown cape may is perfect. As a guest of The Star you have access to the amenities of Congress Hall (sweet bonus, the spa is delightful!). The queen rooms at The Star are quite small, but well appointed. I'd highly recommend this property for a weekend...
Love the pools that there are two of them one in one out I like the fact that you could order food from the restaurant there cause it was really good. I like the fact that it was across the street from the beach and that the location was excellent.
