"We had a nice two night stay in a clean comfortable room. Quick basic breakfast on site with a quick walk to the subway to get downtown without the hassle of bringing a vehicle downtown. Not our first visit to Monte Carlo and we will definitely be back."

"Lovely hotel, great breakfast. Very nice staff. We stayed 3 nights. Had to ask at reception four times to get our room cleaned, it was finally done late in the day on our second day even though we vacated the room for most of the days and left the sign out asking for our room to be cleaned. Also sliding bathroom door very noisy. No way to open it at night without waking up others."

"The hotel was passable and staff were nice enough but it needs updating and a deep clean, paint and repairs in all common areas. The furniture in the room was old and worn down. The beds are doubles not queens. Pillows were half sized. In-room supplies were poor quality and skimpy. The hotel was about $30 cheaper than any hotel in Toronto proper and I was trying to stay in the city on a budget, but having stayed there I wouldn’t go back. I’d spend $30+ more and feel like I got my money’s worth in a modern hotel closer to downtown, instead of spending $200 and feeling like I stayed in a hotel in the middle of nowhere that hadn’t seen an update since 1992. "

"Booked this hotel which, when we arrived, was new, clean & in a good location. The reason why I am giving a 1-star is because, even though I booked my reservation in advance, there was no room available upon our arrival. The hotel did make accommodations for us at another hotel; however, it was 11 minutes away in an older hotel with a terrible bed. No offer to provide a partial refund, or any other accommodations."

"This is a very busy downtown hotel. Excellent location for downtown activities such as art galleries, museums, etc. During our stay, one restaurant was open since other facilities were under renovation. Friendly efficient staff."

"Room was clean. Smaller than expected. Bathroom was also very small. Construction was loud. Pool was very nice and warm. Fitness room well maintained. The construction on the patio will be lovely when done. No hot tub on site at this time. "
