As an experienced traveler, I've become very picky about the places I stay and felt the K&K Hotel was perfect. The hotel was clean, well maintained, and was very comfortable. At first the location seemed pretty quite distant from the ‘Old City’, however you couldn't ask for a better location. Super-convenient location to Oktoberfest and Hauptbahnhof, but tucked away by the river, far enough away from the beaten path downtown. Room had a homelike feel, with a small kitchenette & sofa plus (nice touch) 2 local beers per day in the fridge. Good breakfast & restaurants in walking distance. The sauna really helped kick a travel cold too.

We were unfamiliar with the Westend area, but really liked the neighborhood of this hotel. We chose this hotel because of the area, price and Trip Advisor reviews. We had no complaints with this hotel (other than the fact that it does not have air conditioning, which might be a factor in warmer weather). The hotel was in Old Town Munich. Excellent restaurants steps away. The breakfast was amazing. Loved the bedding and how clean the room was. Absolutely a great choice to stay.

The fact that Hotel Europa is slightly off the beaten path (though ON the tram line) counts as an advantage. While I stayed at the Europa and enjoyed quiet surroundings, companions stayed near the Hauptbahnhof and had a terrible time with the noise of night-long partiers and seedy surroundings. It’s a great hotel on all accounts. Except it should be noted for individuals with mobility issues that you have to go up five steps to get to the elevator and it only goes up six floors. It does not go to the seventh floor. That really should be in the info on the website somewhere. If it was, I didn’t see it in. I was fine, but this was an FYI for others.

Good location for travel by train. Dining options nearby are somewhat limited, but it's very close to the tram which is easy to use to get around Munich. The staff were very helpful. There are no self-service laundry facilities onsite but there is a laundromat about 15 minutes away walking.

Nice staff, clean room and great location to where it was easy to access the grocery store and the subway. I love there was a washer and dryer in the room.

We stayed with our adult children at the Hotel Obermaier during Octoberfest. It was all that we had hoped for. It is a traditional hotel with a good restaurant attached. It is convenient by Metro to downtown Munich. It is much more reasonably priced than closer-in hotels. Our room and bathroom were comfortable. The breakfast was unbelievably generous and delicious. We will definitely stay at the Hotel Obermaier if we are fortunate enough to return to Munich, particularly during Octoberfest.

We came for Oktoberfest and loved that the hotel was walking distance from the event grounds. Plenty of restaurants nearby that we walked to and the actual hotel facility was very nice!

Not the easiest location to get to by public transportation, but it’s a great hotel.

Our stay was absolutely excellent, I'm so glad I found this hotel after looking at over 50 options near the Old Town area of Munich. We needed a room that had two separate beds (more difficult to find) as we had our exchange student with us and a Clubhouse Room on the 2nd floor was perfect! The space in our room was wonderful, extremely clean and comfortable, and our room was remarkably quiet facing a courtyard. Though we didn't use any of the common spaces, they looked great.
