The place felt very unwelcoming as soon as you reached the parking lot, very worn down, unkept feeling. Odd Fellows over the entrance door is fairly accurate, as our experience was just that, odd. Not odd as in the touted old and haunted, just unwelcoming. Enough so that we left without staying. After barely stepping into our rooms we found them to feel more like a hostel room, than an inn. The rooms had no furnishings, extremely vast in any use of color, lighting, pictures, etc. and were very hot and still. When we went to the host to state we were not going to be staying she seemed unconcerned and didn’t inquire as to why, or if there was something that could be done to make us feel more comfortable about our stay, another nod to the unwelcome nature of the place. The wine tasting room was also very minimalist and tight feeling. Ultimately what we were expecting based on the website was far from what we experienced. Based upon our experience I would not be able to recommend this place as an outing experience/destination.
