I wasn’t sure about this hotel when booking it because of the bright green colour scheme, however I was pleasantly surprised. The hotel is privately owned not part of a big chain. The rooms were smallish but had every facility and was extremely clean. I asked the cleaning staff for a smoother bed sheet (personal preference) on my bed rather than a textured one and it was sorted within 20 mins. Breakfast was excellent. Parking was excellent and very secure, accessed by a car lift. We received a free travel pass for our stay. Recommendations for dining were also excellent. Just a short walk over the bridge into centre of Bern. I would recommend.

Nice location, next to #9 and 10 tram/bus. Restaurant and Co-op near by. Rooms are clean and functional. Really liked the beds, front desk person was outstanding, so friendly and helpful. The Waldhorn staff were friendly and knowledgeable, helping make the most of each day. The free coffee and apples were great. Easy (and beautiful) walking distance to swim entry points for the Aare as well as the old town. Great meals at the Lebanese restaurant up the block, and the Kornhauskellar over the bridge.

Very clean & convenient

Very clean hotel. Very friendly and helpful staff. Good quality continental breakfast (the same for all days but that really wasn’t a problem). About a three minute walk from the Victoriaplatz tram stop but it’s only a 20 minute walk into the centre of Bern if you’re feeling energetic. Get the tram back though as it’s uphill !! Alternately it’s a ten minute walk to the Rosengarten for that perfect view of Bern. The room was immaculate but could be a little bigger - but what do you expect from a capital city centre hotel? If you’re looking for a slightly cheaper alternative to being right in the centre then this is throughly recommended.
