The desk staff and concierge were wonderful: helpful, prompt and friendly. The rooms were beautiful, and the breakfasts offered a huge and delicious variety of cereals, breads, eggs, meats, cheeses, juices, coffees, teas, and more.
Ohhh My God, I love this place!!! they made a great job making the living room special and full of details. I love the pictures, the book all over (with a sign take one, leave one) the guitars for people who can play, the coffee, oh yeah the nice coffee!!!
If I could go and live there... I would so much do so.
I mean it. from 8 different places that I stayed, I think the other one could take time reviewing what makes this Hostel so special.
Hotel staff was excellent and very accommodating. A little out of the way but if you arrive in time you can take the Klum train up the hill right behind the drop point behind the castle.
Wow, right outside the famous Heidelberg towers and our rooms over looked the bridge and the river! Perfection. Beautiful old world sitting room to grab a coffee and wait for the rest of our group! We were so lucky to be there for Christmas Markets. It was perfect
You must stay here while visiting Heidelberg. The view is simply breathtaking. The staff extraordinarily accomodating. They could not do enough for us. From check-in to our departure all we heard was "Yes." and "What else can we do for you?" Daily breakfast was outstanding. Everything from meats, cheeses, olives, cooked to order eggs and so much more. Presentation was a 3 tier etagere display filled with everything you could desire from smoked salmon to fruit, even a strawberry smoothie. You...
Since it's small, it had a more intimate feel. We loved how close it is to the many Christmas markets, old bridge, Philosophers' Walk, and old castle. Taking bus 32 from the train station drops you right at the hotel! We would stay here again. We stayed in December and it was plenty warm.
Perfect location, nice rooms and good breakfast. Convenient parking within same building. Nice terrace with view on castle. Very nice staff. We were able to use washing machine and dryer for small laundry batch. Only negative is mattress and pillows were too soft to my liking.
The hotel is in a great location - right by the bridge and castle. The room was huge and we could have stayed there for weeks, it felt so comfortable. Restaurant has the best food in town.
Situated on Hauptstrasse (Main Street) in old town Heidelberg. It as good to walk every day just as the Germans do. Shops were okay, but plentiful. Also close to Heidelberg's main historical attractrations, the Schloss (Castle) and the Alte Brucke ( the old Bridge).
Room comes with a complementary breakfast which, from my earlier experiences, is typical German. The hotel
s restaurant dinning facilities were not open the 6 days we were there. Our stay coincided with the Autumn school...
