8/10 Very good

The hotel stay was fine, older hotel but good for the price and proximity to the park.
Maria, 2-night trip

6/10 Good

Poor motel.

Old building, smelly, run down, only good thing is it is near the entrance to Sequoia.
Huy, 2-night trip

8/10 Very good

‘twas a very nice stay :) very close to sequoia and only an hour from kings canyon
Diana, 3-night trip

8/10 Very good

Comfortable stay

Was conveniently located to Sequoia National Park. Housekeeping could have been a little better, but overall was acceptable. The staff was very accommodating. I would definitely recommend this place. It was very relaxing and had plenty of places to eat nearby.
Mary, 2-night trip

8/10 Very good

Perfectly fine. Good location. Adequate facilities

I see so many negative reviews for this place. I really don’t know what people are expecting. It is a motel in the middle of nowhere close to a national park. The shower works, the (noisy) AC works, the WiFi works, the TV works. The room was not exactly spotless but it was satisfactory . It is not the Ritz but it is perfectly adequate. I used it as a base to explore and a place to crash at night.
MATTHEW, 2-night trip

2/10 Poor

Expectations were low but this hotel managed not to live up to them. Where should I start.. Ants in the room, dirty room, cold shower only, extra charge for air conditioning if you’re not in the room etc. Horribly place - do not go if not absolutely critical and nothing else is available.
1-night trip

10/10 Exceptional

Good location, the room was clean but the bathroom needs it a little more love.
randal, 1-night trip

6/10 Good

No cups

They provided a coffee maker and coffee pods, but no cups of any kind. There was only one trash can. The carpet had not been vacuumed in a while. Pillows were great and the bed comfy.

Elizabeth, 1-night trip

2/10 Poor

3 nights from hell!1

The property has staff onsite only 3-9 PM. Staff were useless. Couldn’t answer any questions. Room needed an exterminator. Flying bugs, roaches, fleas and a bug a local exterminator couldn’t identify. Was 5 minutes from Sequoia. If I had known I would have booked elsewhere.
Dr. James P., 3-night trip

6/10 Good

Good place for a short visit

For the price, the accommodations were reasonable. We only stayed overnight. For a one night trip, we were content.
Andrea, 1-night trip

10/10 Exceptional

The gateway to the sequoia. Highly recommend The River inn. The staff are just amazing and super helpful. The room (cabin) was very comfortable. We actually booked a room and wanted to use the grill but it was not available so the put us in the cabin at no additional charge, i was able to cook right in the kitchen. We will be back as this is a great little place
John, 1-night trip

4/10 Fair

The cabin is very dirty
Maria del Pilar, 1-night trip

2/10 Poor

This is a older property at the entrance to Sequoia. Clean but worn. Good for a night or two with close access to the park. Staff was very helpful when we arrived later then expected.
Whelan Lockhart, 1-night trip

8/10 Very good

Was in a goos
Mario, 1-night trip

Good for an over night in n out
catalina, 1-night trip

10/10 Exceptional

There was a nice view outside the window, the receptionist at the front desk was very friendly and welcoming. At the office, they provide dining options within 10 minutes of the property, which was very helpful considering the lack of service in the area. I would recommend bringing inside slippers, the carpet area in the top floor felt like it wasn’t frequently vacuumed.
Yvette, 1-night trip

10/10 Exceptional

Good location.
Masaru, 1-night trip

6/10 Good

Short stay

Ran out of toilet paper, bad leak at showerhead, no one at office, poor tv channels, no housekeeping during stay, but location and price was good.
Roger, 2-night trip

10/10 Exceptional

Close to the area we wan to visit
Han Mia, 1-night trip

10/10 Exceptional

Nice, cheap place right next to entrance to Sequoia NP. Nice place to rest after a long day of hiking!
Jason, 2-night trip

8/10 Very good

Cutest little hotel right outside Sequoia NP!

Cutest little hotel right outside of the entrance to Sequoia National Park! Hotel staff, especially Jeanette, are so helpful. She answered all of our questions, suggested restaurants in the area, and was just overall pleasant. The room is appropriate for price and size. The room is generally clean, with the exception of mold in the shower and dust behind items on the counter that were moved during our stay so we could have more room. We do not expect rooms to be absolutely perfect and for what we expect of a hotel, we would definitely stay again.
tara, 1-night trip

8/10 Very good

Nice location - no one really around

Beds were comfortable and room had a lovely view. Great location for visiting the park. No one available for check in until after 3 pm. Check out was leave the key at the door. No one to help with a squeaking door - we ended up buying WD40 and leaving it for them. Hunted someone down someone to give us towels - we were short. We'd probably stop back again because of the location.
