The property is still recovering from Hurricane Melissa, so some amenities are currently unavailable. Cable and wired internet are not available, but Wi-Fi is provided. Rooms include air conditioning, a fan, and a full-size refrigerator. The on-site restaurant and bar are currently closed, but several restaurants and local street vendors are within walking distance. Guests also have access to a shared kitchen equipped with a microwave, toaster, full-size stove, and cookware. Housekeeping services are available as well. The property’s biggest advantage is its beachfront location. The beach is just steps from the rooms, with chairs and picnic tables available for guests to use. Despite the limited amenities during the recovery period, the convenient access to the beach and nearby dining options make the property a comfortable choice.

My stay at yellow bird was wonderful! We rebooked 4 times! The beach is large and beautiful with lots of trees for shade. The beach bar is nice, 2 for 1 happy hour! The food on the beach from the beach grill is fantastic. They offer everything from curried goat to various wraps and much more. I highly recommend the fish wrap. Chef David can really cook and is super friendly! From the moment we arrived we felt like we were home and had known the staff for years. Shanika and Vincent are so friendly and made our stay wonderful! I can’t forget to mention Sandra, she is wonderful as well, she’ll do a load of laundry, just don’t forget to give her a generous tip. Big up to the staff at yellow bird! I have made wonderful new friends! You’re truly amazing! 😍

Property just bought by another company that has started rehab on place Just old 40s buildings now Place was clean and safe Great ocean access and old fashion cabana bar that has two for one drinks all day long Once rehab complete will be even a better place to stay No food on site but has kitchens and staff offered to cook for us

I’ve been going here for 40 Years. Prior ownership was out of this world. New owner barely said hello and we felt alienated and icky. If it weren’t for staff and beauty of Negril it would have been less inviting. And being ignored is demeaning. No name will be disclosed.

When we arrived we were met by a shady individual in the guard shack and another standing by the gate. They informed us that the property was closed since the hurricane (which was over a week before) and that we would have to stay somewhere else. The grounds looked dark and terrible.Tragic.

I have stayed many times and gave great reviews so I was shocked when I arrived at 9pm and was given a room without a bathroom/ when asked about a bathroom they said the charge would be twice as much a when I pleaded that I wasn’t prepared for an out of doors bathroom / I don’t have a bathrobe - u get up in the night tu use the bathroom - I can’t work w this - they called and said No - pay $180 or else stay in this room - It’s 9:30 at night And the taxi dropped me off - I have no where to go - this is UNACCEPTABLE
