If you dont mind the stairs and climbing and can get a canyon view room well worth the extra work to get there . Amazing views . Parking is tough there and quite a bit of stairs but well worth it .

Amazing stay! They picked us up at the train station. Maria and her staff are so gracious and accommodating. Most of our meals were family style and always fresh and homemade… Beautiful area, historic buildings with local craftsmanship! We were given a guided walking tour as soon as we arrived. So many amenities, pool, jacuzzi, billiards and pool table…

Maria was a real sweetheart in accomodating all our requests.
Great location near the Canyon.
The facilities are good, although a bit dated.
Room was extremely clean and comfortable. Kids loved the jaccuzi. The pool room looked liked it was not used very often.
The food was always fresh and tasty. Good selection of wine and spirits.

You are obviously paying for the view and what a view it was. I would stay here again just for that. The staff were also great - although the man in the restaurant did spoil things on our last day by bringing an empty basket to the table and asking for a tip. Our room was quite dated but seemed to be clean. The bed was comfy and shower fine - as long as you waited long enough for the hot water to run through. The breakfasts were generally good and we had one evening meal which was ok - but not good enough to persuade us to eat there again (we ate at the park instead - which actually was a similar standard). They were there waiting to meet us off the train, as requested. We also used the shuttle service to the park and that worked well with the bus waiting for us to bring us back as arranged.

The Hotel Mansión Tarahumara was well kept up and the rooms were quaint and comfortable. However I had made reservations more than 6 weeks in advance, reserving two luxury rooms with a single king bed and a view of the valley, but what we were given was two rooms with double beds and no view. It appears our rooms were given away to a larger group which in my opinion is unethical. We were told by Rachel that if we paid an additional $500 pesos per room she would make accommodations. Don't make reservations and expect to get what you paid for. I cannot recommend this Hotel.

Hotel is misrepresented online. It doesn’t have Canyon views. The steps without rails are dangerous. Not a good choice for anyone with mobility issues. While the driver and waiter were nice, the restaurant lacks consistency and drinks are overpriced. We were charged $68 for a small after dinner drink. Food was often cold or took hours to get. Pool was cold. Overall we were very dissatisfied. That being said, the employees were very nice. Needs new caring management.
