What a wonderful hotel. Clean and well appointed and the location is wonderful. A great place to stay! The rooms are basic with two beds and a wardrobe. Four showers/toilets per floor and cleaned daily. Bring slippers for the shower. You take off your shoes indoors( like in many of the cafes and restaurants) . There is a kitchen with a fridge that you can use, and a special tap for drinking water. Breakfast is good with both warm and cold food. The staff in the reception is excellent and go out of their way to help you. Never seen better!! The walk down to the village centre is 2,7km. There are taxis and they charge between 150-200kr a ride. We saw foxes and ptarmigans right outside the hotel. Don’t miss the husky cafe, dinner or lunch at vintertradgarden, and the museum!

The hotel states "airport shuttle" as part of the booking but know you will need to pay for the city bus that stops at the hotel. It's definitely a walk to downtown, and with luggage, a taxi or bus is very highly recommended. Other than that, the rooms were nice and it was an affordable option if you don't mind being somewhat secluded from the other parts of town. Breakfast included was a nice amenity!

We stayed 3 nights in a family room which has 3 beds. Room is spacious and clean. Reception staff is nice and friendly. Buffet breakfast is included, won't be too many choices but considering this is in arctic circle that resources don't come easy. Surprisingly it is not noisy, as contrary to my expectation that wooden cabin has thin walls. Bus to airport starts from the reception area, so very convenient.

I didn't mind the 20 minute walk into town, as I was hiking most of the day and the bulk of the shops were closed by the time I finished anyway. Superb breakfast, very helpful staff, free washers and dryers, and a very usable common kitchen facility for those who might want to cook. I would definitely stay there again.
