Having stayed with my daughter in June, we had such a nice stay. The Customer Service from Andrew and Anne was exceptional. They could not have been more helpful from start to finish and it was an absolute pleasure to stay at The Cherry Tree. Our room was really well thought out and the bathroom was so clean. The breakfast was an unexpected surprise when we walked in as was so varied and wonderfully laid out, plus delicious coffee from the machine, not a stew in a Cafetière. I really could not recommend The Cherry Tree highly enough. Excellent location for so many amenities and the sea! We will definitely be returning.

Although we had a nice stay and the room was adequate, we were incredibly disappointed that the room we booked online was completely different to the room we stayed in. The bed was 2 single mattresses pushed together with no topper so you could feel the separation. The advertised room had a free standing bath with lovely details, whereas our bathroom was very standard. The bedroom displayed online had an original fireplace and again lovely details but the room we had was very plain. It does have lovely big windows however. The location was great for the Seven Sisters walk / coast and also close enough to the train station. Breakfast was good with a wide selection.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and the couple that run it are delightful. We had one or two niggles though. 1) Our twin room was quite small and the shower was tiny. It was a good thing we are not large people! 2) The shelf over the basin was very annoying as you hit your nose or face every time you do your teeth. Suggest they take the shelf off and put something elsewhere. 3) Not a good idea to put damaged strawberries out for breakfast. 4) I am surprised they consider themselves a 4* establishment, more like 3* in my view. Our room was definitely not 4*but I am sure there are some lovely big rooms in the rest of the B&B.
