We booked without much research at the last minute for a one night stay.
Welcomed on arrival by Jordan, who later served us at the bar, in the restaurant and at breakfast. He has just the right mix of great customer focus with informality and a sense of humour (Yorkshire tea is DEFINITELY not the best in the world!).
The building is old, so is bound to have a few quirky elements, but our room had a very comfortable bed and a powerful shower and even a painted bathroom floor. The view from our room (and pretty much everywhere else) was great, across the fields to the sea.
Had dinner in the conservatory and enjoyed it, especially the cod recommended by Jordan.
Would definitely return, and hope to do so.
