We had a lovely stay here. We were very relaxed staying so close to the beach, and the pool and spa being right outside our apartment was an added bonus. The apartments contained everything we needed. The area was quite nice with a very good coffee shop working walking distance. Very close to the airport too, which was very convenient for us. The managers were very generous, allowing early check in and late check out for us

Good clean 2 bedroom apartment. Plenty of space. Easy parking. Great location, minutes from beach. Very close to Mudjimba with cool cafes and a surfy vibe. All rooms that are not separate villas look over the (huge) pool. It was quiet in winter, I suspect it might get very noisy in busy periods. This would have made the stay less pleasant for me, but if you are travelling with kids, the pool will be the centre of everything. Note: guest staying somewhere near my apartment was a smoker and it drifted onto my balcony all the day long. If you want a non smoking property, perhaps stay elsewhere....

Reception staff were lovely and really helpful. They went out of their way to meet our requests and we were grateful to be granted early check in as well as a small change to the bedding configuration to better suit out group. The unit was modern, spacious and well appointed. This resort has pretty much everything you could desire - huge swimming pool, public spa and located within a minutes walk to the beach. We had a beach house which had a lovely hot tub on the roof as well as a second private spa in the main bedroom. Both were well utilised. Location is great with fairly direct beach access (no need to cross a road) and easy access to Mudjimba. It is below the flight path. Personally we enjoyed this but it might not be to everyone's tastes. Our group had fun plane spotting from the hot tub! If you are staying more than a weekend it would be advisable to BYO toiletries, dishwashing supplies etc. The only small improvements that could be made would be to the occasionally sketchy wi-fi and a little more attention to cleanliness. For example, the front of the toilet door was clean on one side but when it was shut there was a noticeable amount of dirty brown finger marks. Overall though the unit was clean and tidy so these were minor things in an otherwise wonderful stay. We would definitely love to stay again! We were a group of adults but we all commented that it would be a great stay with kids (there is even a skate park across the road!). Highly recommended.

Great stay at Sand Dunes Resort. The kids loved it and the pool was amazing. Facilities were excellent and the room had everything we needed. Our air-conditioning broke, but the staff were fantastic — they brought in two portable AC units straight away and heavily discounted our stay. Really impressed with the service. Would definitely stay again.
