This was a very nice affordable place to stay in Cusco. One thing that I wasn’t expecting was there was no front desk or lobby. I arrived late at night and it’s not very well marked. I had to ring a doorbell and was quickly greeted very nice employee who gave me my room code. (It’s a historic building so they can’t make changes to the exterior.) One thing to note is this up a very steep hill, not too far from the Plaza de Arms,so if you are not hiking shape, it’s an effort to get back to the Rumi Wasi. I enjoyed my stay:)

We arrived at the hotel late at night, and unexpectedly, there was road construction in front of the hotel. When we got there, the staff refused to open the door, pointing to the back entrance instead. However, we had no idea where the back entrance was, and we couldn't see the way. Eventually, they came out, and we entered the hotel. To our utter surprise, the hotel had no heating, no hot water in the sinks (only the shower had hot water), and the room was small and cold. Thankfully, the blankets were thick. Normally, hotels should send a message beforehand informing us how to enter during road construction. On the bright side, the hotel allowed us to leave our luggage with them for two days, which we would retrieve upon our return from Machu Picchu. However, when we went to pick up our luggage at the back entrance, we encountered several fierce dogs, which was quite frightening.

El hotel está nuevo, muy limpio, con una ubicación inmejorable por la plaza de Armas, el servicio es excelente muy amables y serviciales, si tienes tour muy temprano y no alcanzas el desayuno te ofrecen hacerte uno pequeño para llevar, la vista de mi habitación daba a las ruinas muy hermosa, al parecer hubo un error en mi habitación pero no me lo dijeron, simplemente me dieron una habitación mucho mejor y más grande, esto habla muy bien del hotel porque no te hacen pasar malos ratos.
