Nice location near all of Cavendish offerings. Beautiful property. No elevator and didn’t realize this at time of booking - would recommend booking the bungalows as these looked like great access for families and closer to pool (pool was far away from main lodge).

We stayed here following a day of golf and it was the perfect spot to relax. It was the end of the season, so the place was very quiet. We walked a very short distance to a local restaurant for dinner, another lovely experience. The staff were very accommodating in putting the whole group of us close by each other. The staff we very friendly and helpful. Overall a very pleasant experience.

The hotel staff were friendly and accommodating and would boom again because of them. The hotel is very dated but clean. We were disappointed in the pool, however as it appeared to be a little dirty, and the hot tub was not filled up.

We loved the upgrade to a king room. however it did advertise a microwave in the room, we did not have one in ours. The front desk gentleman when we arrive was so nice and friendly. Enjoys his position. We had trouble with our door when returning from dinner the gentleman that helped us after 9:30 was so nice and very patient with me. Our only complaint's were no tea bags in the room or kettle and that it also advertised breakfast and we did not get that it was a extra charge starting at $9.99 and up. I would possibly stay again if ever in the area.

The room was ok, everything was dated and needed an influx of investment. The towels especially were thread bare and unraveling. Too small for a 6'4" man or woman. The $14 breakfast was terrible. The outside also needs fixing up. The grounds toward the river were good. Nice view from the room but not really that close as described. Buyer beware.

Dated hotel, the bed was very nice though. Hot water took about 5min to get to the shower. Layout could be reversed. King bed should go to back of the room behind the French doors, and the pull out sofa could be near the door entry to the room. Would help with the constant noise of other guests. The Stanley Bridge Country Resort could be a grand location but it is in need of updating and maintenance as it's age is showing. We stayed in a King Suite on the 3rd floor which had been renovated so it wasn't too bad but walking around the property there were areas such as wooden doorsteps etc. that could've used some TLC. The cabins definitely need updating. We didn't use the hot tub or pool which are located far from the main building as the weather was not good. We didn't know the restaurant was closed for the season (Sept 18) until we arrived but staff were helpful in telling us where we could buy groceries/breakfast. Cavendish is largely shut down by this time so we drove to North Rustico. There was a coffee maker in the room and ground coffee but no filter so we found an open cafe/bakery called "Receiver Coffee" in Cavendish that was very good! We ate dinner at the nearby Carr's Oyster Bar that was amazing and busy but they fit us in! Overall it was an average place to stay, the room was big and functional, the location abit isolated as summer was nearly over and the staff were helpful but we probably wouldn't stay here again.
