Scandic Go is definitely a budget hotel, but a well done budget hotel. Check-in and check-out is via tablet, which was quick and easy no matter the time of arrival. The room was reasonable for the price, no particular luxuries and only basic soap in the shower, but comfortable enough. The bed was a bit squeaky but I liked that I could cast Netflix to the TV and had lots of places to hang/store clothes. The staff at the cafe were very friendly and kind, always happy to help. It was nice to be able to grab breakfast, coffee/tea and snacks throughout the day from this cafe, plus they had a self service for night time snacks and drinks. I appreciated the free lockers on my final day as my flight was not until late. The safe in the room and restricted access to upper floors with your room card made it feel safe. The location is very central in Oslo, so only a short walk from most things and various shops/restaurants nearby. All round, a lovely stay in Oslo and I would stay here again.

A Good central hotel

The staff were very friendly and accomodated an early check in, which was really appreciated, the room was spacious and clean (room 618)& the hotel offered a wonderful breakfast. Quite centrally located only 2 or 3 stops from central station & the tram stops right outside so easy to around however street view rooms do experience street noise but nothing which had any signifant effect on my stay.

We were a group of about 10 people staying at Scandic Grensen. Had a long great breakfast with friends in very nice surroundings. Rooms and service excellent. Absolutely the place to stay in the center of Oslo city. We will all be back in 2025.

We liked our room, comfy bed, great bathroom, and the staff were amazing from the first welcome when we walked in the door, to helping us with any inquiries. The complementary breakfast is out of this world, and because we had to leave very early on our last morning, they offered us a boxed breakfast to take away. It was a bag of lovely things that pretty much lasted us all day! Thanks Scandi Grendel!!

Great location. Good breakfast. The hotel is lacking a lobby social space. Rooms are compact and efficient with under bed storage. Only one chair. Considerable street noise so not suitable for a light sleeper. Carpets in the hallway and the room are absolutely disgusting with stains and the appearance of being filthy. We were able to move to a room with parquet flooring and it was clean. Front desk staff were super helpful and accommodating.

Room is a bit more basic than I usually get, (e.g. no iron and board as no wardrobe - but was available from reception to loan) but nonetheless comfortable. Was concerned that it was across from the tramline but noise was barely noticeable. Shower was very good. Breakfast was excellent with a lot of ingredients that would never have been in a buffet in a British hotel such as avocado. Location was excellent, right in the heart of the city but away from most of the noise, yet a relatively short walk (even with luggage) to the nearest train station that could get you to the airport in less than three stops.

Very surprised by how much I enjoyed the hotel. It is on an extremely busy street in an area with a lot of nightlife, I still slept my usual 6.5 hrs! A good bed and lots of smart storage should you stay for a longer period. The breakfast is just a roll and coffee, not worth the price. The money is just as well spent at one of the many cafes in the area. Overall a good option for a stay in Oslo (even when you live close by).
