St. Judes Lodge was a great getaway with an amazing location. Sean and Donal are great hosts and always put their guests first. The location was within walking distance of the Latin Quarter with the restaurants, pubs and shops that the area is known for. It was nice having on site parking. Breakfast was great with all the items you need to get your day of exploring the Galway area off to a good start.

The B&B is in a very nice location. It seemed a little disorganized. The room was fairly standard, no upgrades or character. The breakfest was very good, but it was probably the noisiest meal I've ever had. The dining area is small and everything echos..it didn't help that the staff was picking up and placing dishes the entire time...I would have eaten elsewhere on hindsight.

Disappointed with property

Our experience did not fit the comments we read. On arrival the host told us he upgraded us to a larger room than we booked. There were 3 of us. He put us in a basement room that had 6 twin beds lined up & pushed into every corner possible. We never saw the lovely lake view posted on the website, instead we saw the parking lot. The mattresses were old and uncomfortable. The pillows just as bad. Zero amenities in the room, no soaps or shampoos. There was a soap dispenser in the shower but it was empty. A few of the towels were old and frayed on the edges. Felt more like a hostel tan a B&B.

The owners, the location of the property, breakfast buffet were wonderful. A 5 minute walk to Galway town and a fantastic place to base for a few days to see the Burren, Cliffs of Moher, the limestone caves. Highly recommend the property.

We booked a last minute room here and found it to be the most comfortable stay we had while traveling through Ireland. The room was clean and had everything we needed for the night. We checked out too early for breakfast but the employee helping us made sure to offer us coffee and tea despite how early it was - we declined the offer, but it was thoughtful nonetheless. I would happily stay here again next time we are in Galway.
