We had a great stay at the El Dorado Classic Hotel in Iquitos. The hotel was clean, modern, and comfortable overall, and it was a very nice place to stay before and after our time in the Amazon. Our room was clean and comfortable, the beds were very nice, and the air conditioning worked well, which was especially appreciated in the Iquitos heat. The hotel itself felt well maintained and modern, and the pool was a great place to relax. We also enjoyed the free breakfast, which was good and convenient before heading out for the day. Overall, the hotel had everything we needed for a comfortable and easy stay in Iquitos. We also want to give special recognition to Diego, the bartender and waiter. He was always attentive, friendly, and welcoming, and he always had a big smile. Diego helped make our stay even more enjoyable with his great attitude and excellent service. Overall, we had a very positive experience at El Dorado Classic Hotel and would recommend it to travelers staying in Iquitos who want a clean, comfortable, and convenient hotel with friendly service.

The place is fine, clean, pool is realxing- not heated but feels good in the heat. The beds are past there prime- the springs are DONE the sheets are soft though. The breakfast included is lovely and they make great french toast. Perfect for 1 night before we took an amazon cruise.

Best bang for your buck

The room was nice, better than many in town for almost the same price (and close to the DoubleTree for less than half the price). The desk staff all spoke English well and were very helpful. Room was in good shape, everything worked.

Room, amenities, food and staff were great. I experienced in my room trembling due to loud music. I would recommend getting a room the farthest from the entrance to the rooms, to the left. It was completely silent then! Overall great experience. Somewhat dieta friendly menu if you ask for it too

This was my 3rd one-night stay at the El Dorado Classic. This last visit I stayed on the 4th floor and the suite was basic but very clean and the bed was quite comfortable. There was very hot water , which wasn’t available during previous stays in lower rooms. I did observe that the hot water began running out once. I also had difficulty charging my phone there, though the reception staff and another hotel staff were immediately responsive to aid me in this matter, just not in my actual room. Reception worked quickly and efficiently to get our substantial party checked in, and demonstrated professionalism and attention to each concern. During a Saturday night, music emanating from a neighboring business was loud and thumping and so I could not sleep much. While this is not a fault of the hotel, people should request a room away from the street. Overall, a fantastic deal for about $59 per night.

The staff is friendly, helpful and accommodating, making for a pleasant experience. Room is simple but clean and new with excellent a/c and quality tv. Request for a chair was attended to immediately. I would have liked more sitting/desk/table options in the room and an additional door lock from the inside for peace of mind. A nice gem oherwise.

The carpet is smelly and there is no elevator for the upper floor rooms. Some stuff is helpful but some is mean. The location of the hotel is good but the facility and service is not good.
