Hotels in Mentougou

An excellent hotel in Beijing! The concierge team was outstanding, going above and beyond to secure entrance tickets to various sights of interest for us, which can be tricky for foreigners to do on their own. They were also super helpful in booking taxis, making our transportation hassle-free. The breakfast at the hotel was fantastic, offering a large selection of both Chinese and Western items. The staff were incredibly helpful, taking the time to explain the different foods and how to enjoy...

On checking in, we were told that we were booked in the Garden Tower, which was an old structure from 1987 and showed its age, and were encouraged to upgrade to the Valley Tower, that was only a few years old. I was surprised at such a significant disparity in the condition of the two towers, especially at the Shangri-la. I enjoyed my stay at the Holiday Inn Express, Shangdi. It is located about 10 minutes from the subway station, of the same name. In addition, there are various restaurants, a supermarket and a 7 Eleven close by. There is also a Walmart Supercenter two stations away at Zhichunlu (exit B). The room was clean and comfortable, and the wifi worked great. Once you sign in, you receive a 7 day account. I did not watch t.v., but the bathroom was nice and there was plenty of hot water each day....

I have stayed at various hotels near Renmin University and this is by far the best choice in the area. I would definitely choose this hotel for my next trip to Renmin and nearby universities.

My stay was good. I would like to give a special thanks to the staff Wu Yan who work as a room cleaner on the 19th floor. During my stay in room 1934, she was very kind, responsive and helpful.

If you want a hotel where you can find restaurants, taxis and easy access to the subway, then this is the hotel to stay at while in Beijing. The hotel is also in a section of the city where signage is in Chinese and a English, which is helpful if your Chinese is not very good.

Rosewood Beijing once again proved itself as my current best hotel option in the City. Having stayed at around 30 hotels in Beijing, this is the winner. Location is extraordinarily important in Beijing and this is perfectly central regardless of what you’re in town for. Excelent hotel with a superb location. The only thing to improve could be the attention at the front desk wit a better attitude towards the guests and a better command of the english language.
