On this day, August 31, at the Hampton Inn Matamoras/Milford, there was an incident. Our stay was not the best. There was a misunderstanding, on my part, about the pool amenities after check out. I was checked out and under the impression because I had been a guest I was allowed to use the pool (amenities) for the remainder of the day. I was visiting with family and had invited them, as well. The receptionist was rude and accused me of “malicious deception” in front of multiple guests, defaming my character. It was a misunderstanding, on my part, that was handled extremely poorly. The receptionist did not have a name tag and was presumptuously audacious in how she handled the situation. I was called deceptive multiple times and remained calm and willing to pay for the misunderstanding. I apologized to the guests that were present and waiting for the situation to be resolved, as well. Due to this incident, that could have been handled much differently, I will not be bringing my business to any Hampton Inn again.
