The property was very clean, the room was nice and comfortable, and the food/drinks downstairs at the pub were great and reasonably priced! Will definitely go back and stay again!

6/10 Good

There is a restaurant and bar downstairs. The parking space is crowded. The accommodation conditions are simple and the bed is narrow.

Excellent clean rooms, food was fantastic and the drinks were cold and affordable. Overall this place is a hidden gem.

Wonderful rejuvenation of a 1931 Hotel, keeping true to its era but with all the necessary modern touches for a great stay. Meal was excellent and staff exceptionally friendly. We even managed to enjoy some live music. Very happy to recommend. PS....the old school ceiling fans in the pub were amazing !!

Great place to stay, just be aware that there are no PowerPoints near the bed, is a problem if you wear a cpap machine.

Beautiful Hotel

Beautifully restored historic hotel. Our only criticism is that on a Fri they have live music which made it a little noisy but this finished at 11pm so nil sound issues after that. Our room was located near the stair case and this may be the reason for the noise.

The whole stay was very relaxing and pleasant. I must give a Gold Star to Asher the barman. He was so pleasant and helpful. We had a very small glitch and he personally fixed straight away. All the staff were pleasant and that makes a big difference to how one feels about a place. Well done, Imperial Hotel.

ABSOLUTELY SUPREME SERVICE

Thank you Joe, for looking after us so well. Huge thank you also to the cleaning staff who worked hard and cleaning our rooms early; and fantastic service at the dining room. Very friendly and helpful, all round; rooms were spotless and comfortable. Totally enjoyed by all, in our group

What a little gem. A newly renovated and stylish pub and rooms. The late night clientele are a little rusty but the accomodation is great. Staff were a little unsophisticated but friendly and helpful. I would totally recommend this place especially for the price!!

Stayed one night in Queen window room at back of hotel. Paid $25 extra for 3 hour early check-in which was worth it (tea, shower, change & rest after a long drive). Bed super comfortable, had a very good sleep, slight noise from air-con but nothing serious (ear plugs provided but didn't need them). Staff funny and lovely, bought us extra tea bags, happy hour $6 premium schooners was great, food in bistro was good, breakfast not available in hotel but plenty of options in town before you checkout.
Mark, 1-night trip

4/10 Fair

Well ' was asked to pay a security deposit of $100.00 upon arrival....Being a female pensioner of 70, thought this ridiculous....After some negotiating, paid $50.00 using my card .. Still not have been refunded this amount...Have rang several times, and have been promised the refund....Thing they are a bunchnof liars and scammers, not impressed.....Shame on this establishment.. .
Bronwyn, 1-night trip

6/10 Good

The food at the restaurant was great. Just remember it's a pub downstairs. I hadn't anticipated how noisy it would be staying upstairs from the live music that was playing in the bar. At checkin I was told this noise would stop at 11pm, and it did - after which it was perfectly silent.
Shaw, 1-night trip

8/10 Very good

Delay to get checked in on arrival. It wasn’t clear where to go and had to wait for all drinks to be served before a staff member would check me in. Access to rooms via fire stairs was a disappointment. Room was clean cosy and comfortable. No room refreshment during three night stay. Had to ask for rubbish bag, toilet tissue etc. very convenient location however and small kitchenette was great. A microwave in the room would have been appreciated.
