Beautiful hotel in a castle

A beautiful castle converted into a hotel in a beautiful small town. Lovely surroundings. Enough parking in and around. Everything is available within walkable distance. Inside the hotel is a nice swimming pool and jacuzzi pool + health center and sauna. Also, enough indoor activities to keep you busy if you wish to stay indoor. Food is great too and also a tavern right in the hotel.

The hotel was built on the site of an ancient castle and retains its medieval atmosphere. This gives the hotel a sort of magic and makes it beautiful both inside and out. The staff is very courteous and always available. The receptionists and restaurant waiters are always courteous and helpful. A special thanks goes to Giulia, who helped us with a problem we had on our last day. However, the interiors of the property are often dated and worn. The carpet in the room was old and sometimes dirty. The bathroom was spacious but definitely needed maintenance, such as flushing the sinks and removing unpleasant odors from the toilet bowl.

Very nice and quiet place to be, specially with children. The whole staff is very friendly and is open for any needs and questions. It's a really old building but they made the best out of it. The choice of food at the dinner could be better for children (for example there where no french fries or "Spatzle" available at the buffet). The Taverna Bar isn't open every day but the staff at the restaurant compensates that.

The hotel has seen better day. While it is a nice building the rooms and facilities are in need for a thorough renovation. The food is average at best. In the three days we stayed at the hotel the evening buffet contained Wiener Schnitzel on two days. The vegetarian options are limited to pasta. The salat buffet is basic. Same is true for the breakfast.

Das Gebäude ist renovierungsbedürftig. An manchen Stellen sind die Teppichböden im Flur abgenutzt und teilweise aufgerissen. An der Außenfassade prökelt teilweise der Putz ab. Das Hallenbad ist sauber, das Becken ist OK. Die Fliesen sind teilweise lose am Randbereich .Es ist in die Jahre gekommen. Im Zimmer war soweit alles in Ordnung und sauber. Die Matratze war aber durchgelegen. Wir hatten die Königssuite mit 60 qm. Genug Platz zu fünft mit 2 Schlafzimmern und kleiner Küche. Das Restaurant war OK. Das Essen war auch OK. Die Fenster waren schon lange nicht mehr geputzt worden, auf den Fenstebänken wars staubig. In dem Hotel ist Haustiere erlaubt, es wurden auch große Hunde mit ins Restaurant gebracht was nicht jedermann gefällt.

Tolles Familienhotel. Ganz auf die Bedürfnisse von Familien und auch Menschen mit Behinderung bedacht. Wir haben keine Störungen durch Geräusche erlebt. Gute gedämmt. Alle Angestellten hatten immer ein Lächeln auf den Lippen und waren stets freundlich. Essen war lecker, manchmal etwas fettig. Aber jeden Abend anders. Das einzige was wirklich schade ist, dass das Hotel etwas renovierungsbedürftig ist. Die Zimmer sind neu und top. Aber der Rest leidet leider unter der Zeit. Ich hoffe das es in Zukunft seine sicherlich alte Schönheit wieder erlangt.

Överlag ett bra hotell. Buffén var dock ganska tråkig och det fanns inget kaffe efteråt. Vid frukosten så var det även där långa köer till kaffet då man hade för dålig kapacitet på de kaffemaskiner man använde.

Vi kommer meget gerne igen: Fuld valuta ved halvpension. Ok priser af drikkevarer. Venligt og servicemindet personale! Fin (ikke prangende) svømmehal. Vi havde en familiesuite - hvilket var super godt til os - og meget flot. Vi kan ikke genkende de, der kun giver halvlunkne anmeldelser; ja - stedet bliver brugt - og det er enkelte steder slidt; men alt er rent og pænt. Maden varierede hver aften til halvpension; med lækker supper; salater og altid med en ret fra Tyrol, og altid med en simpel ret til børnene… Tæt på er Fieberbrunn banen der helt klart også kan anbefales. Vi vil afsted igen!

Charmerende og hyggeligt

Fin beliggenhed ikke langt fra Fieberbrun pister/lifte. En lidt længere tur til Kitzbuhel og ca. 1 time til Saalbach Hinterglemm. Hotellet er et gammelt slot, meget charmerende. Vi havde halvpension og var godt tilfredse med både morgenmad og aftensmad, der var et stort udvalg, blandet østrigsk og internationelt mad. Vi kommer gerne igen. Ikke mindst pga det venlige personale.
