The location of the room was perfect, slightly separate from a lot of the other floating islands and so it felt more secluded. It was amazing waking up to the beautiful view in the morning. We went with the owner, Nestor, on a trip which was far better than the other organised tours. Nestor was friendly and talked us through everything to with the islands, the culture and the tourism.

It was a very special and unforgettable experience spending one night at a floating island hotel on Titicaca Lake, though the conditions were not that as good as staying in a "real hotel" in the city and it was freezing at night. The people who attended us were very nice and kind. We were glad that we chose to stay there for the night.

Amazing experience, limited amenities

This stay is on a floating island in Lake titicaca. As an experience it is amazing. However, be prepared that they only accept cash, the rooms are not heated, our stay on October 3rd 2024 was extremely cold. Nestor is a pleasant host, and gave us a tour of Uros island on our way back to shore. Note that the showers have limited access to hot water, and the toilet is a dry toilet, also there is no WiFi and limited cellular signal. Over all, the view and experience are amazing, but be prepared for an experience akin to camping, and be aware of the transportation limitations of being on a family run island in the lake. For those seeking adventure, this is great. For families seeking luxury, or even basic amenities, there may be better options.
