We stayed one night at Comwell Borupgaard, and overall it was a wonderful experience. The hotel is very family-friendly and exceptionally clean. It is surrounded by beautiful gardens and trees, creating a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere. There are also two outdoor jacuzzis, which were a great addition for relaxation. The breakfast was outstanding—delicious, fresh, and offering a wide variety of options (+++). The only downside was that we could not control the air conditioning in our room. We would have preferred a cooler temperature while sleeping. Overall, we were very satisfied with our stay and would gladly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a quiet and comfortable place to stay near Helsingør.

Third stay here, and the spa, rooms and breakfast were wonderful as usual. Less wonderful was the member of staff who checked us in, who was stressed and rude and neglected to tell us how to get to our rooms, was snarky when we came back to ask for directions, and only gave us one keycard which turned out not work when we finally reached our room.

On the exterior, The Comwell looked excellent, with a supposed state of the art spa facilities, high quality restaurant and a friendly smile on arrival by the staff. In reality, what I was met with was a lot of hidden costs for facilities that barely worked. I paid for access to the spa facilities, however, saunas were not functional, there was little direction in terms of what was available for me to use and what I couldn't. Staff were inattentive. I was seemingly ignored by the front of house restaurant staff as I waited to be seated, with several different members of staff walking straight past me without acknowledgement. I gave up and went to the supermarket instead. The next day I visited the restaurant again and wasn't impressed by the limited menu. There were no vegetarian options, little diversity and the food wasn't that great. When reporting spa facilities that were not working, members of staff did nothing to rectify the issue or inform me of whether it was being seen to or not. My room had an insect infestation which made it very difficult to relax and settle down. The bedsheets were not fitted to the bed very well, and I found myself tangled in the middle of the night. The bathroom was poor, with a sink that doesn't plug in, a shower that sprays all over the floor and a toilet that had a particularly bad smell throughout my week. I left the Comwell with a bad taste in my mouth. I felt disappointed and let down by what could have been a very lovely stay.

Hotellet ligger fint ved en skov og tæt på indkøbsmuligheder. Personalet er meget venligt, og morgenmaden er fin. Værelserne er dog efterhånden gamle og slidte med tæpper, gardiner og møbler, der trænger til en opfriskning. Når hotellet reklamerer for sine senge, er det ekstra irriterende med to løse topmadrasser, hvor den ene nærmest glider ned på gulvet. Badeværelset er også gammelt, toilettet er upraktisk placeret i forhold til bruseren, og toiletrulleholderen hænger alt for højt. Alt i alt en god beliggenhed og flinke medarbejdere, men hotellet trænger til et løft.
