I had a wonderful experience at The Vault Athens! The location was extremely convenient and close to everything I needed, making it very easy to meet for work and also enjoy the surrounding area. Aurella was especially polite, professional, and welcoming. She was very helpful and made me feel comfortable from the moment I arrived. Her excellent service, warm attitude, and attention to detail really added to my experience. The place itself was comfortable, well located, and a great choice for my stay. Overall, I had a very pleasant stay and truly appreciated the hospitality. I would happily recommend The Vault Athens to anyone visiting the city and would definitely consider staying here again!

Very close proximity to the happening places, restaurants and historic buildings in Placka. The room was spacious enough for my family with kids traveling together. The Manager was very helpful with tips for the sight seeing places and restaurants and also arranged for transport to/from airport at a good price! Highly recommend.

This hotel is very well located centrally walking distance to most of the central Athens sites. HOWEVER it is only suitable for short stays because of what it does not have. There is vitually no lobby to sit in. There is no area where to sit at tables or otherwise except in the room. No breakfast area or sitting area of any kind. Breakfast is served to your room. Not sure whether its prepared on the premises or brought in from one of the local cafes. If only a couple travelling this would be ok. Not suitable for 4 or more unless your happy to sit in each others beds as no where else to convene.
This was the entirety of the wardrobe space. We had 2 items together on each hangar. Also no drawer space

3 days in Athens

I have a 3 day lay over in Athens. The Vault is conveniently located so I can take the hop-on / off bus. It is closed to the National Botanical Garden and the Syntagma subway station and has many restaurants nearby. The only problem is that the front desk closes at 9 pm, so my check in is a bit uncertain (it works out OK,).

It’s a decent hotel, probably more like a 3 star place than the 4 stars it claims to be. The good: Book this place for the location, it is unbeatable! We were able to walk everywhere and there are tons of options for food, drinks, shopping, etc. on your doorstep. The bad: The area is very noisy at night so bring earplugs. The room is very noisy with the aircon, the pipes, electricity humming. Bring earplugs! The ugly: The daily cleaning left a lot to be desired. We noticed they weren’t cleaning the floors at all or giving us clean mugs or glasses. The room itself was spacious and comfortable but in need of some maintenance. Scuffed paint, loose plugs… that sort of thing. Small improvements would make huge difference, like having wooden hangers instead of wire ones that are bent out of shape or refreshing the paint.

Nice hotel but noisy road

Really nice little hotel, clean and modern room with good bathroom and bed. BUT the hotel is placed in a VERY noisy street, and right opposite there is a bar/nightclub with loud music and noisy people on the street. My room was placed facing the street, so it was impossible to sleep without using earplugs. So, ask for a room, that is not placed facing the street. Wifi a bit slow.
