Lovely stay

This isn't anywhere, fancy hotel. It is old and parts of it are run down. But it's adorable and very Charming. The location was perfect. The staff was amazing. I would definitely come back!

Wonderful location, directly outside the main tourist area. The view of the canal was wonderful and the breakfast adequate. My only critique is that there wasn't someone at the desk for me to pay my city tax when I left and they emailed me bank deposit information which my bank couldn't pay. Besides that, great place that I'll stay at again.

i just need to highlight that the hotel location is really good. however, we went there to rest from the work stress but we couldn’t sleep at all because there was an annoying sound from a generator downstairs that was turned on all night. In addition, our room was facing the wooden stairs so we could hear every single movement.

We went to Canalview for a girls trip. Check in was easy, room was spacious and beds were comfortable. The hotel staff were very pleasant anf assisted with everything. Breakfast was great, it had everything we needed for the day and the setting was gorgeous. Front desk agent was helpful. Only issue was the heating, it was a very cold weekend and we needed more heat, thefe was a sucharge. There is also a surcharge for an extra blanket and pillows, and hair dryer

Not great

The hotel is half finished (bare concrete in the corridors), the room (a so-called 'comfort' room) didn't even have a proper bathroom just a shower cubicle with a curtain that opened onto the sleeping area with no extractor fan so the whole place was full of steam and a toilet where the light automatically turns off after about 30 seconds. Heating is mandatory, you can't turn it off and it was totally unnecessary. The room contained only a bed and a sink. They put a reserve charge on my card for both rooms I booked and, despite having paid at check-in, a week later the reserve on my card is still there and they're no help at all trying to resolve the situation. If you want to seep in a sauna and create a cash-flow nightmare it's the hotel for you.

The property is very well located close to all the main areas. But that is about it. The rooms are cold and poorly maintained. Everything you could imagine you had to pay for. An extra pillow, a towel, even body wash all came at an extra charge. They even charged you to pay your city tax classed as an ‘admin fee’ which I have never experienced at any hotel in Europe. Overall I would say stay somewhere else

Overpriced, small bathroom, but well located

The room is small while bad and linens are comfortable. The location is excellent and the self check is perfect. The problem is the bathroom. It’s almost the same size of baths in the airplanes. To sit in the basin, just on the side! It’s impossible to have a shower with the curtains closed, so everything is wet. I think it shoud be ok for just an overnight, but I’ve stayed for 2 nights and deal with this “bathspace” was a struggle! For this reason I think it is overpriced.

Payment and pre-authorisation.

You payment handling and customer communications has huge improvement needs! You made TWO pre-authorizations on my debit card, I paid the TWO hotel room bills at check-in, ONE of the TWO reservations was released within a few days, the other one was NOT. I sent you a message about the not released pre-authorisation, with NO reply at all from you. Too BAD!

Worst value for money

Unfortunately I stayed at this hotel. It's been my worst value for money stay so far. Pictures in the website look nothing similar to reality. We were in a basement full of humidity where you could not control heating in a freezing room (reception told us we had to pay 50€ additional to control the heating). No soap in the toilet, terrible bed and the ceiling was almost touching my head (1.90com). Very claustrophobic. Terrible breakfast and worst attention from reception. I would recommend for people to look for other options at this price.

The best thing I can say is that the location is excellent. It is a very basic hotel, with very small rooms. The breakfast was quite good. You have to pay extra for things like a blow dryer, shampoo, extra pillows. We didn’t have to pay For the blow dryer as we were staying a week.
