Room clean, big and bed comfortable furniture abit old but charming. Kitchen clean and you had all you need for making dinner. Good to have parking in the garage. Location in the centre and not far away from the gondola. Staff helpful on the phone. Excellent for one night stay.

We were very satisfied with our stay! The kitchen is somewhat useful for cooking, but don’t prepare for super advanced meals, as kitchen space is limited. The staff is super helpful, we borrowed an extra radiator to dry our clothes, but be aware that staff is not always available:)) The bed was super comfy and there was an overall nice atmosphere in the hostel!

Our stay at Tiglkåk was very nice. Easy to find and access, although we had a initial problem with the code to the room. But the staff swiftly helped us! Showers in the basement were really excellent, clean and very good waterpressure! Our only concern was the small fridge which was not enough for all occupants. Anyhow we recommend this place!

There is a strong difference between the presentation on internet and the actual situation. The shops on basement level are closed, no housekeeper to let you in as mentioned. A touch of lack of maintenance around the house. On the contrary, the guests seem to be satisfied, the bedding and cleanliness are correct. The kitchen can be used, basic equipment is available.

TIglkak Hostel is a comfortable, inexpensive place to stay. Keep in mind it's a hostel not a hotel so there are shared washrooms and stairs. Nevertheless, everything is extremely clean and our bed was very comfortable with good quality bedding.

Great Hostel

Great hosts, made it simple to check in and check out even if we had a late arrival. The place has a great location, and if you are looking for somewhere that you need to stay for a few weeks its great. I can imagine it being loud if a lot of people are staying at the location at the same time, but during our visit we didn't see anyone nor hear anyone else. We got confused on how to enter the hotel, but the host helped us promptly. Great experience

Good location , central location .magic wiew from our window . Close walk to everything . Room clean and nice big for 2 persons . The kitchen / pentry must be updated and more modern even if it will be simple . Only 3 toilets for all rooms and one was very small like a guest toilet. The cafe next door looked very nice with cakes , sandwich etc , it would have been perfect if they offered a simple breakfast , like coffee/ bread and yoghurt from 07.30 ca ( make a deal with them! ) or if you could pre order like a breakfast package there .

Great accommodation for self sufficient travelers

The spaces were very clean, and the host provided everything we needed. Wi-Fi, comfortable bed, hot shower with towels and body wash, kitchen with plenty of plates, cups, etc. Super convenient location. Recommend getting stuff for breakfast from Extra, lunch from Sødahlhuset, and dinner at Eggen restaurant at the top of the Romsdalsgondolen for the best birthday ever. :)

A hidden gem!

I stayed in the mini caravan outside. It was clean, quiet (except the seagulls!) and very comfortable. It doesn’t have any facilities but it was a short walk to the restroom/showers. The best was the view from the caravan beautiful sun over stunning mountains and an ocean view! Die the price and the central location you couldn’t ask for more. The staff was very friendly.

It was cheap so we didn't have high expectations, but the room was very small and without proper ventilation eventhough we kept the windows open (on bottom floor). There was also a strange locked room in our room.

A lot of noise from 06.30 in the morning, slaming with doors, talking loud in the stairway. Impossible to sleep. Early mornings also the cafe in the same building opens, sounds like you are sleepiing in the cafe kitchen with all the noise of coffee making and emptying the cofe maskin by nocking out the cofee. If you are up before 06 the room is ok, but if you want to sleep after that make sure to have som good noise cancel earplugs.

My wife Anita and I did not receive check in instructions. The property seemed to be unoccupied. We were unable to contact the property. Nor we we able to contact Expedia. Imagine the anxiety associated with being in a strange town without any apparent sign of help. Fortunately we were able to obtain assistance from the neighbouring property. With her assistance we finally made contact with the property owner’s mother then the property owner. The property owner was most apologetic and proceeded to resolve our dilemma. This should not happen. I intend to seek compensation from Expedia.
