Our family stayed at Tidelands Caribbean Hotel & Suites for the first time during our July 4th vacation, and overall, it was a pleasant and memorable experience.
We booked two ocean view king efficiency rooms (room 508 and 509) for 3 nights, from July 2 to July 5, 2025. The total came to $2,213.88. It was well worth it for the unbeatable location—right in the heart of Ocean City. Everything we needed was just a short walk away: restaurants, the boardwalk, the beach, entertainment… incredibly convenient for a family trip.
The rooms were spacious and well laid out, with no musty odors and clean tile floors. The beds were large and exceptionally comfortable—we all slept soundly every night, with no back or neck pain at all. Each room also had a small kitchenette, which allowed us to prepare and enjoy breakfast together as a family. That personal touch made our mornings extra cozy.
Room 509 was located directly across from the elevator, which we found a bit unusual at first but didn’t end up being a problem. One thing to note: the bathroom in room 508 had visible rust and could use some maintenance. Additionally, the water pressure in both showers was quite low, making it less relaxing and more time-consuming to bathe.
One of the highlights was the balcony view—stunning ocean scenery and a peaceful atmosphere. However, the sliding door in room 508 was very stiff and difficult to open or close, which we feel should be addressed for future guests.
