This is a nice enough hotel, but not sure we would rush back.
I appreciate that it’s very much a family hotel (we were there with our 12 year old) and so things are going to get mucky and dirty quicker, but our room’s mirrors were covered in toddler height sticky fingerprints, there were stains in the bathroom and in the main rooms cream carpet and the room was generally a bit tired and in need of a spruce up.
The room was absolutely boiling hot, even with the window open and a tiny fan had been placed on a table, which did nothing but circulate the warm air.
The corridor outside stank of urine and general fustiness.
The staff were generally friendly and attentive.
The pool and spa area is open to the public and is actually quite a way from the main hotel. My husband used the gym area but we ended up not going to use the pool in the end as he said it was mega busy when he was there.
Dinner in the hotel restaurant on the first night was nice enough, but really very expensive and breakfast was ok, all a bit stale and luke warm. We brought pizza in from a little trailer in Naas the second night (Plur Pizza)
All in all a pretty average stay, looking forward to a decent nights sleep in our own beds tonight!
