Great value for a short stay in Aguas Calientes!

I stayed here for one night to buy my Machu Picchu ticket in person, and this hotel turned out to be a great choice. The early check-in time (from 12:00 PM) was a big plus, especially after a long train ride. For the price, the room exceeded my expectation! It was clean, spacious, and had reliable hot water. Breakfast was included, and they were also kind enough to store my luggage after checkout, which helped a lot. The location is excellent, very convenient for getting around Aguas Calientes. The only minor downside: I asked if I could get some hot drinking water, but they said it had to be purchased, and it wouldn’t be very hot so I skipped it. Still, overall I was very satisfied and would happily recommend this place to other travelers looking for a comfortable and budget-friendly stay near Machu Picchu.

A wonderful stay the night before heading to Machu Picchu! The host was a wonderful lady who offered a delicious breakfast and was very hospitable. She even stored our backpacks for us so we didn’t have them while at the top of the mountain. Truly a wonderful experience. Would definitely recommend to anyone traveling in the area.

The hotel was clean and the staff were helpful. Our room faced the 'street' and was pretty noisy until about 10:30 pm. A bath mat in the bathroom would be nice, as the floor can be slippery when wet. The beds were very comfortable.

Hotel was nice and not crowded. We loved the personal service. We were there at a time when there was a fiesta of Senor del Torrechayoc. It was noisier at night during the celebration. A 3 night stay.

There was no electricity for 2 days, no wifi for 3 days and my friends phone was stolen out of her hand steps from the hotel. Not a safe area, especially at night. The staff were lovely, but that’s the only good thing about this hotel.

Poor experience

We booked the room because we saw such high ratings online. When we arrived, we waited 20 minutes at the reception for the receptionist to arrive. When we got the room, there was no running water. We asked to change rooms because they said it would take at least 30 minutes to fix, they said there was no rooms available, yet they show availability online. On top that, the bathroom light was flickering non- stop! Lastly, there was a lot mold in the shower! I really don't know who are providing these high reviews, maybe bots? Breakfast was ok.

I paid via Expedia and then upon returning from dinner was forced to pay again or they would not let me back in my room. In the morning the cleaner had music blasting right outside my room as I was trying to sleep. The breakfast was pathetic. One stake bread roll and a dry piece of ham with cold coffee. They had issues with the rooms, at first thinking we had only reserved one room, instead of two. We paid for just one room the first night, then the next morning, we paid for three nights. I don’t speak Spanish and they don’t speak English, but they we’re demanding we pay more. We ended up leaving and I overpaid by an additional night to get them off my back. In the end, they ripped me off and charged double the advertised price. Perhaps stay elsewhere…

Great value for money. We only stayed one night as I think most people do in Aguas Calientes to visit Machu Picchu, but the room was a decent size with a good bathroom, and the staff provided breakfast from 05:30 so we could get up to Machu Picchu early. My only other point was that no staff members were waiting for us at the station to help carry our bags, though this may have been due to late communication as we booked last minute. All indications were that the hotel would send someone, so I can only imagine the fault lay with late communication and possibly due to using the Expedia chat feature rather than directly calling the hotel. So check this if you stay here by calling the hotel directly. All-in-all it was well worth the price and I would probably stay here again if I visited Machu Picchu again in the future.

The lady checking us in was efficient but slightly rude and patronising. The room was excellent the beds were very comfortable. The bathroom was good however the shower curtain was too short so the bathroom flooded when the shower was on. The hotel was in an excellent location but the town is tiny so all the hotels are in good locations. A fan in the room would have been nice. The breakfast was a catastrophe it was inedible there was hardly anything left and it was nasty cheap food that no one was eating.

5-star room and service! The bed was literally a dream to sleep on, wide also! Big bathroom with plenty of hot water and great shower pressure. Everything was extremely clean. Buffet breakfast included fresh tropical fruit, abundant scrambled eggs and freshly sliced avocado. Don't think it over: just book here!

Péssimo hotel. A água do chuveiro não esquentava (tivemos que reclamar 3 vezes), o banheiro molhava todo, não tinha toalha suficiente para o número de hóspedes (tinhamos que solicitar diariamente), café da manhã lamentável (café frio, sem reposição de ovos, pouquíssimas variedades), muito barulho (nos corredores do hotel e na rua, pela janela), a janela fica de frente para a janela do outro hotel (sem privacidade), não tem ventilador, ar condicionado ou aquecedor no quarto, não tem stream na TV, sabonete do banheiro muito ralo. Enfim, detestamos.

Gostamos muito do Hotel Luz Garden! Ele está muito bem localizado — a menos de 4 minutos a pé da estação de trem e também próximo de ótimos restaurantes. Assim que saímos da estação, foi muito fácil chegar até o hotel. Como nosso passeio para Machu Picchu era bem cedo, o hotel ofereceu um box lunch (lanche para viagem), já que o café da manhã ainda não estava disponível no horário da nossa saída — um detalhe que faz diferença e mostra o cuidado com os hóspedes. O quarto era bonito, espaçoso e confortável, com uma cama ótima e um chuveiro excelente. As pessoas que nos atenderam foram muito atenciosas e simpáticas. Foi uma excelente escolha de hospedagem e com certeza eu voltaria a me hospedar ali novamente.
