Randy on reception from minute we arrived set the bar for great service. Our first room sadly wasn’t great, we changed next day to larger one. Hotel could do with bit of spruce up but, it is great value and very clean, comfortable beds too. The hotel is in great location, lots of bars and restaurants close by and subway too. Only 10 minute walk to Fifth avenue and Rockefeller centre.

Room well designed but, night stand drawer handle coming apart and closed loudly with a slam. Lamp shades need dusting. Bathroom clean, but shower head was dusty and mold in the ceiling above the bath tub/ shower. Other than that, hotel and room overall was clean.

Loved the doormen they made our stay and the rooms while not upgraded entirely had new floors which was helpful and clean. The rooms were much larger than we normally see in NYC and the location is perfect for our family. Didn’t love the early checkin fee but that was my only complaint.

Always a great place to stay. Staff at front desk are friendly and you get $10 worth of drinks/snacks of your choice e per day. I have stayed here several times before and I starting to notice the rooms are dated, particularly the bathrooms. But for nyc the rooms are large and the hotel is comfortable.

What made our stay at The Fifty Sonesta Hotel was the service. The doorman, Romeo, would recognize us and always had a warm greeting. The housekeeping crew kept our room looking nice and were always on hand asking if we needed anything. The front desk staff went out of their way to help us maneuver transportation and places to visit. We will definitely be back!
