Friendly and welcoming staff with an easy check-in process. The room was clean and the bed comfortable, which made for a nice first impression. I loved the blackout curtains — perfect for sleeping in. The shower had great water pressure and temperature, which was a plus. The location was very convenient, close to the bus station with direct service to the airport. However, the air conditioning didn’t work properly, making the room uncomfortably warm at night. The staff did bring a fan to help, which I appreciated, but it only partially solved the issue. Overall, a pleasant stay with a few drawbacks.

The staff in the reception were very helpful and serviceminded. BUT - the bartender was nothing but a disaster. When we tried to buy a drink from the bar he denied us because he had already closed the cash register. At the same time he sat and drank beer with friends at the counter. When we came back 1 hour later he still sat there with his friends with freshly poured beers but he couldn´t serve us. Perhaps time for the boss to have a one-on-one meeting?

Had a great stay. Love the sustainability practices. They plant a tree on your behlf if you forego 1 day's room cleaning. So cool. Will definitely stay here again. Was super convienet to grab a bus to the airport, they come every 5 minutes to the stop closest to the hotel, which was less than a 5 minutes walk. From there, we were easily able to grab a train to anywhere in the city.

The hotel is conveniently located next to the airport bus line (two stops from the airport station). There was no shuttle, but if you have light luggage thats fine. The room was modern and spacious. We used the hotel as our home base while exploring Amsterdam, as there was Taylor Swift concert in town, and most other options were booked out already. For our purpose it was easy to reach the city center via bus and return busses ran until late.

**Review for Hotel the Florian, Amsterdam** ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I recently enjoyed a fantastic stay at Hotel the Florian in Amsterdam, and I can’t recommend it highly enough! This hotel offers a perfect blend of comfort, style, and convenience. First, the location is incredibly convenient. It’s just a quick 5-minute bus ride from the airport, which made my arrival and departure so stress-free. Plus, it’s only about 25 minutes away from central Amsterdam, making it easy to explore all the iconic sights without feeling overwhelmed by the hustle and bustle. Upon arrival, I was greeted by a warm and friendly staff who made me feel right at home. The room itself was beautifully designed—very clean and inviting—with all the amenities I needed for a comfortable stay. The decor perfectly reflects the charm of Amsterdam, and I loved having a nice view of the surrounding neighborhood. One of the standout features of the hotel was the attention to detail provided by the staff. They went above and beyond with their service and provided great recommendations for local dining and attractions, which really enhanced my experience in the city. I had a great time during my stay, and I truly cannot recommend Hotel the Florian enough. Whether you’re in Amsterdam for business or leisure, it's the perfect home base. I can’t wait to come back and stay here again!

I am a women and travelled alone, but being a singer a room on the ground floor where I could hear and see men smoking, smoking drinking beer around picnic table placed outside right next to the room window, and wished I was on the 1st floor. Pillows were smelly and couldn’t sleep well try not to think about it. As clean sheets and pillow cases were changed everyday, so I think it was pillow itself need to be checked. The last complain was traffic route to reach the hotel for a foreign driver. But this is something hotel can’t help, and I got used to it from the 2nd day. Having said above, it is a great and reasonable hotel in this time of high pricing. Food quality and breakfast is excellent, nice young atmosphere. I visit Netherlands once or twice a year for business. I stayed neighbouring hotel without catering facilities last year, and used to have dinner with Florian across the road every night last year, and decided to stay in the Florian this year. I think I will continue to use the Florian, as I know how to drive and reach now.

Worst experience, dirty toilet no housekeeping

Overpriced hotel for the service and quality you get. - they literally charge you for everything even renting umbrella - renting bike only for 3 hours (13 euros) or whole day possible but condition of bikes not good due to lack of air in tyres and steering wheel as well as seat kept moving around when riding due to loosened screws - not cleaned the room even though asking for it twice in a row, not making bed and not even changing bed sheets upon request, just putting new towels in room and leaving right away. No service at all! - dirty toilet when checking in - old used towels with huge staints on it - no fridge in room, when asking they said they will put a portable fridge in room but also did not do what they promised - almost no privacy as window to inner courtyard facing directly bar and restaurant area, guest can see literally everything in room - no refill of coffee (due to non existing housekeeping practices) - construction in front of hotel which makes access very difficult - no shuttle bus service from airport - housekeeping team literally leaves all doors open that have to be cleaned by putting a towel inbetween the door, could have walked literally in even room, where is the safety? - no phone in room to call front desk, need to go to reception for every request, very annoying! There are much much better options around that area to chose a hotel to stay. This one is just overpriced for the quality.
